  1. Absolutely tons of people not going to our match tonight. People worried about scenes outside the ground. What a joke this whole fuckfest is. spoke to a mate there and it’s like something from a film - hundreds of coppers, helicopters all over the shop.
  2. yes he is, but he was never going to take us any higher as his “slap the lads in the back, encourage them to run a lot” coaching style was practically dead. The thing most Villa fans will tell you tainted his legacy was him fucking off three days before the start of the season.
  3. His methods had reached their expiry date when he left us, 15 years ago. Older posters may recall at the time he then went to Sunderland, I said on here what would happen there. Which is exactly what happened. This must surely just be a figurehead temporary ship steadying move.
  4. absolutely shit. looks like a competition winner .
  5. Wow, that's up there with Doug Ellis 1983 in terms of dismantling success as quickly as possible.
  6. It was great seeing you again, Toony, I thought you were going to have a coronary when that Buendia goal went in, you were going so batshit xx
  7. Injured, came back briefly, injured again, back in a few weeks. Definitely miss him.
  8. I think our dodgy period might actually be lifting now. Great result today, great performance (after an awful start), and two banging goals. Pau Torres coming back to form and Kamara being fit again are vital, those two are probably the two most important players in how we play.
  9. Some proper idiocy about this story. People going on about Villa should be punished, when it's nothing to do with the club. Also acting like away fans for some fixtures being banned is a new thing. Asking when something like this has happened before, and forgetting that less than two years ago, West Midlands Police refused to allow 2,000 Legia Warsaw fans in to watch the game, when they were literally 100 yards away, in the coach park, setting things on fire.
  10. The only acceptable result of this fixtures is for both clubs to lose, and then for all their fans and staff to be loaded into a gigantic missile casing and fired into the sun.

    The Other 18

We're not paying particularly big money, and we're not signing has-beens. Unless I am overlooking people? We made some questionable signings, yes, that's true, but it's not like we've been giving 32 year olds 3 year contracts like was the case 15 years ago. People go on about Rashford and Asensio in the January window - when that window opened, we had done unexpectedly well in the CL but were showing signs of feeling the squad stretched. It was brilliant business to get those two in, Asensio in particular played a big part in us getting to the QF of the CL. People forget that. Like they forget, when going on and on about how Arsenal deserved something from their defeat to PSG, that we actually beat them at home, and very nearly knocked them out. We were never going to sign Rashford on a perm, as we were never going to commit to paying someone 300k a week for 4 years, but him and Asensio made a massive impact on where we were as a team. Damned if you do, damned if you don't here. One look at the current league table tells you all you need to know about the impact on clubs like you and us of the current financial rules. We're unable to spend money we don't have - despite not being a penny in debt - and have to watch other clubs seemingly spend whatever they want. it's genuinely enough to make you want to give up.
  12. There was, apparently, some unpleasant stuff going on in the background over the summer over PSR and the Ramsey sale, which went down very badly. Rogers is his best mate. That could be part of it. Seriously, though, it's so frustrating. We keep the ball. We just don't do anything with it.
  13. Truly dog shit from us. We just pass the ball around, no cutting edge. Morgan Rogers has been terrible literally all season but starts every time.
  14. My god listen to this hipster cunt going on about mentally draining covering the Isak story, honestly, what cunts.
  15. He also did his 'here we go' bollocks for us signing Paquetà on Sunday, the stupid meat faced gimp.
  16. "It's a horrific situation" he says.
  17. SSN presenter genuinely looks angry at Palace.
  18. It's stuffed full of the love of Christ.
  19. God, I fucking hate these SSN presenters, every fucking one of them. Esp this cunt in Stockholm, though.
  20. It genuinely is not. I'd rather have kept him, but we've gone tons of midfielders. The worst thing about our window is no new right back. There was also no chance we were ever going to lose Rogers, not at all.
