It's completely baffling to me how people can hate their own national team with such a passion. I'd root for Lee Cattermole if he was in a Korea shirt. Just different cultures I suppose.

We should all know well enough at this point to trust the club's ability to negotiate transfer fees. If we're not willing to pay more than a certain amount, it's probably because it's not in the best interest of the club. They've earned some benefit of the doubt.

Fixture list looks a lot harder now because we can't really be sure who aside from the two Manchester clubs (and probably Chelsea) will actually be good next season. Any of Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool, or Everton could turn out to be really difficult games for us.

Pards will be here for the next two decades anyway so he's got plenty of time.

Defected after phone-gate. Just been on business trips for the past couple of weeks or so. I generally don't really post on here that much over the summer. Talking about transfer rumors makes me pull my hair out. As for Sunderland, they're basically nothing in the Korean market despite their efforts because a. they're a shit club and b. Ji's reputation over here is roughly equivalent to, for example, Danny Welbeck's in England. He's a pretty good young player but not yet a big-ticket shirt-seller. Signing Jisung Park would obviously change things completely but as I've stated numerous times, he's said that he'll retire when he's no longer good enough for Manchester United. Maybe he'll make an exception for Sunderland since they're basically Man United reserves anyway, but I doubt it.

I do kind of feel like this year was our last realistic chance at lucking into a CL place. I'm sure we'll be in the top eight next year, but top four could start looking impossible for the forseeable future again.

Turkish press says that Trabzonspor has made official contact with Bolton concerning buying Lee. Korean press seems to think otherwise. I've got no idea of course.

Park Ji-Sung confirms interest from Galatasaray. It's a shame that his career is going downhill, but maybe we'll get to see teams other than Man United (Sunderland? ) on tv now.

That still means a team who would ordinarily qualify would miss out though. That's true. I'm probably able to say these things because I'm not a fan from one of the country's that would be affected. Think it would make both cups better if the Europa League winners were in it though.

Why not just reserve a CL spot for the winners every year? Seems the simplest way around it. Personally think they should have the Europa League winners in there as well.

Don't think so. Was pretty good this season though. Obviously I would be happy with either of the two. They would both be almost ideal for us, as Lee's natural position is as an inside forward in the 4-3-3 and Ki is almost ideal in a three man midfield with Cabaye and Tiote. They're also both from my local club and I watched them since they were coming up from the youth team. Seeing them play for Newcastle would be, as I've mentioned numerous times already, a wet dream.

That only delights me as long as he f*cks off out the country. He's blatantly going to one of the promoted clubs to give us our obligatory annual bad home loss.

I say we offer him a deal at whatever the minimum wage for footballers is. Just for the lols.

A highlights player that is very inconsistent who is flashy and perform 1/10th of the time when starting but looks good as an impact player..... that's Johnson in a nutshell. He would be good as an impact player but we cant afford to have someone like him on the bench. Johnson is much more than a MOTD player IMO. Would create a lot of goals given a consistent run. City fans I know have all been very critical of Johnson. Although they certainly have higher standards than we do, it does seem that he's a player that looks better in the highlights.
