1. I'm sure we couldn't get a work permit for him and I'm sure the mackems also tried and failed. We had signed Friedel on a short term loan, and we only sent him back when we discovered he wasn't going to get a permit for a long term deal. Apparently work permits aren't an issue because he has an Italian passport. Gonzalez does? Yeah

3. Never seen him/didn't even know he existed till five minutes ago, so can't really comment. I assume he's our creative midfielder for the year? EDIT: From what I can make out of his Spanish stats, scored 13ish goals for Danubio in 2006-2007 and about 7 in 2007-2008 before he left for Monaco on loan. Not bad if that's all from midfield
4. This is from the Uruguayan El Pais, not the Spanish paper of the same name. Not sure what that means about its trustworthiness.
5. Hehe it's not, it could be Carlisle United currently or Berwick Rangers, they've just moved like the Rams did in "Football", you should be familiar with this concept being a yankee doodle dandy and all that ? It would be a difficult one for me because deep down who would you be supporting ? I've fallen off Football so hard, I read that and wondered when Derby moved. That's a question for a Ravens fan, or a Browns fan. They'll have a lot of insight there. God, a Newcastle and Cleveland Browns fan. If that guy exists, he had crows feet at 12. When Arizona come to town to play St Louis, who do the locals support, the rams or the cardinals ? Outside of MK Dons we've not witnessed movement of franchises in football, but there again all major areas of the population are served with local teams, so there has been no need for it. None of my teams have relocated in my lifetime, so I don't know what ex fans do. But generally they're met with hostility. If what's happening in Seattle is any indication, most of the fans treat the team as if they no longer exist after a move. From what I've seen, moved franchises are treated with the most hostility of any team in the league when they return to their former homes for away games.

Gooch

thought we were signing him again for a moment there. I actually do miss him. Kind of.
7. If you're feeling anything other than :celb: right now then I don't think supporting a club like NUFC will be good for your long term emotional health. WE JUST SOLD JAMES MILNER FOR 10m+. Stop worrying and get yourself a celebratory pint for fucks sake.
8. Plays both LB and LM so offers us LB cover while also replacing Milner as a body on the wings. Great squad player if we get him.
9. jesus, that's like the dictionary definition of a panic buy.
10. I'm not watching this year's. All the South Korean teams are out who do you support in the K league oldtype? i'm a daejeon citizen guy by virtue of living there FC Seoul. By virtue of... ummm... living in Seoul. Domestic league glory hunter ftw! (Slightly ironic, as we haven't actually one anything in a while.) never see games these days, work out of the country and am barely there now - strange team daejeon, one minute i check them they're doing well the next they're f***ed and at the bottom of the table keep selling their best players from what i can gather They have no money. Like literally, 0. Punching way above their weight as it is. That's unfortunately the case for most mid-to-lower table clubs in the K-league. If the "big 3" come in with an offer, they have to sell just to meet ends meet. Sometimes even if the player doesn't want to move!

13. Saw that a few days ago, one of my all time favourite players and was really hoping to see him in the Champs league this year. Anyway thats the same club that wanted to bring Etoo, Rivaldo said the offer was just too good to turn down so i can only imagine how much their paying him. Fuck, does that mean I might get to see Rivaldo in next years' Asian Champions League matches?
14. You know who's really bricking it now? Leeds fans. Depending on how large the clause is, we might even give them enough money to get promoted. I figure I'm just going to relax and enjoy the ride on this one.
15. Turned it into a 07-08 Newcastle post. Thought that sounded vaguely familiar.
16. They see 30 second MOTD highlights, we see 90 minutes of the slowest stepovers since my attempt in 5 a side ten years ago. Tiny part of me is bricking it. "Shit, we couldn't possibly be swindling other clubs on transfer fees. He's going to turn into Ronaldo within a year!"
17. So they could end up paying around £13 million for Milner and Smith. Wow. Wow. That could make me buy an Everton season ticket. Just out of pure gratitude.
18. whichever of them that gets him for 10 mil is my new second-favorite club.
19. I remember reading posts on an Everton forum a while back. They seemed to have some sort of irrational hatred for you lot (similiar to the hatred you lot have for us). How dare you! Our hatred for Spurs is VERY rational.
20. who have we ever stolen from them again?
21. Smith being a world-beater at Leeds is one of the biggest myths in modern football tbh. He looked "promising" at best. You know how bad it is? "Smith at Leeds" is actually a commonly used phrase here in Korea. Refers to anyone who was good at something a few years ago but is absolute shit now. No, I'm not joking.
22. Considering the current regime's track record so far with "never heard of him" players, I'm willing to trust their judgement on this. Although naturally we'd still need more signings. Not even clear that we're in for him though, agent might just be holding Everton ransom.
23. If it's Larsson v. nothing I would take Larsson. Just about sums up my feelings.
