They play kids. Ours are injured too.

Milner is leaving. Shola is leaving. Smith is.... Smith. So we've basically got Owen and nothing else. Can't even play Milner or Duff as a withdrawn striker anymore. ...what exactly is KK supposed to do for Arsenal this weekend? Or for the entire month of september for that matter. PS. Let's leave Nile RAIN-JAH out of this.

I don't think so. We were absolutely dogshit last season. We're no longer dogshit this season. In fact, we may even be decent. They've gone from absolute dogshit to just mediocre. They have improved alot I reckon, if we are not on our game we will get turned over at the SOL. Thing is, Keano's spent something like £85 million on players so I cant see them finding much more cash over the next 3 years which is pleasing. Look on the bright side, most of their new signings used to play for the team we've been slaugthering home and away by at least 3 goals to 1 for 2 seasons now.

No Japanese! Then I'm back on Beasley. You're American, right? Yeah. I live in Boston by the way. Well, I will be for another year at least.

To be fair, we were going to finish above Arsenal last year. Can't believe they have Gordon in the same league as Shay. To be fair, many on this board thought that Shay was finished and we should let him go for free last season. Mackems don't have a monopoly on thickness.
-
Bet he outscores him this season, regardless. Depends on which one of them is injured more. When we're talking about small, niggly injuries, Martins is at least as injury prone as Owen imo.

It's a vicious cycle. When the transfer window is closed, you can't wait for it to start. When the window is open, you can't wait for it to close.

May be off to Wigan in the next 48 hours. Steve Bruce mentioned in a Setanta interview that they're looking at him.

Would love to get a drink with someone I could talk Newcastle with at the moment. (Fits both of my immediate needs, alcohol and shit talking) Unfortunately, I'm just slightly removed geographically...

Fergie wouldn't sell. I agree. If I were him I'd be making noises about leaving though. Fergie will always treat him as an expendable utility player. Too unselfish for his own good.
-
Okay, we've done this before, but... How bout Ji-Sung Park? It's not like I don't make it clear that I'm the token Korean on this forum every day without stuff like this, but still, I think he'd be absolute quality in our side and better than SWP or Larsson. Haven't seen enough of Valenica to comment on him.

No better than Milner. Quite possibly worse. Definitely worse. Headless chicken. He's like Lennon, only older and American.

Should probably just send this one to the hall of fame as well and get it over with.
-
Considering that we can out-money Everton and Pompey, and City is in turmoil, if its between those four we certainly have the best chance. Wouldn't hold my breath though.
-
Not all that bothered. I have confidence that we'll get at least a couple more in before the window closes. Aside from that, I think we'll be okay for a top 10 finish even if we sign nobody. Squad doesn't look that thin at all once we get Martins and/or Viduka back. (Aside from there being no cover in the fullback positions)
-
Lee Young-Pyo moves to Dortmund from Spurs. Wouldn't have minded him here as cover. Far better fullback than anyone, including his own manager, ever gave him credit for.
-
He always gives his all, everyone knows that, most have always said his end product is s***, my only problem with this is how late in the window he has left it to ask to be away. Change in attitude probably has more to do with the fact that Villa fans would apparently be happy to pay 12m for him... If their board thinks the same way, why not hold out for a big fee?
-
Insane reading on the Villa forums, the fans are apparently would be happy to be paying up to 12m and rate him higher than SWP. Can't blame him for going where he's loved, I suppose.
-
They obviously like him more than we do, so win-win for all. Already anticipating the reception the bastard will get when Villa come to SJP this season.
