I'm loving how the reports over here are about how we've continued our surprise unbeaten run, most of the reports in France of the match are going on about how we've closed the gap on the top 3. ssssh! the more that happens, the more chance of frenchy players wanting to join la révolution! -

I love our new name Chateauneuf-du-Tyne, it sounds like a beautiful red wine -

@PhilippeAuclairPhilippe Auclair Good one from @OptaJean: Cabaye unbeaten in his last 24 games, for Lille, France or Newcastle. 4 hours ago @PhilippeAuclairPhilippe Auclair Do you wonder why we now call Newcastle 'Chateauneuf-du-Tyne' on RMC's Monday European football show? 6 hours agovia web @PhilippeAuclairPhilippe Auclair Many people in France were wondering why on earth Cabaye would forego CL football with Lille to play for Newcastle. Guess they know now. 6 hours agovia web -

This referee has been shocking. -
Apparently the West Brom pen was given for an off-the-ball incident a few seconds before the ball came in. But I thought you couldn't award penalties for that... Oh well. That miss though, my word.
-
Apologies if this has already been mentioned, btw.

The Guardian Football Weekly podcast this week had Phillippe Auclair, and was very complimentary about Newcastle. Said that French football fans were curious about the Gallic contingent we have, and are now one of the most watched teams over there. The main football game from Sunday in the Premiership shown in France was our game, not Arsenal-mackems. It's about 9 minutes in if you're interested.

Did anyone else notice when Suarez held up the coin, and then threw it away nonchalantly towards the ball boy? haha
-
Tbh I do sympathise with referees because they don't have the technology that would enable them to make more accurate decisions. What I can't abide is inconsistency, there's no excuse for treating one tackle differently from another
-
I hate Suarez, bugs bunny with the worlds lowest pain threshold

More smiling I love it!

Should never have scored from there

Not complaining per se, just observing. Oh, and that Silva through ball for Milner's goal
-
They said in the opening bit that they proudly had all the title chasers in action, so expect arsenal next, then Liverpool, then Spurs. But hey, could be wrong

Think Swansea's goalkeeper has borrowed Jim Leighton's boots; the ones filled with concrete

He knows he's been a twit as soon as he did it

Also, did Jeff on Soccer Saturday really just say "Nobby, I'll blow your trumpet for you!"

Might just be me, but Torres and Chelsea seem so ill-fitted. Just one of those players that for some reason isn't the same player. Think he will be a brilliant player for his next team, but doubt he will ever be THAT player at Chelsea. Question is, how long do both parties persist?
-
Torres... he is the player equivalent of NUFC sometimes...expensive, and one step forward = two steps back more often than not
