I can see Gosling playing at right back rather than right wing. Routledge is as important to our team as are Carroll, Barton, Tiote and Ben Arfa. routledge is as important as Carroll and Ben Arfa?? Yes. For me he is. Ben Arfa has been great one game, he has to prove he can do it (for us) on a consistant basis. And Carroll wouldn't be that good without Routledge.

It was only a question of time when he would replace Harper anyway imo. The injury only made it happen faster. Now he has the chance to show his PL class, Harper won't get back into our best XI imo.

I doubt he ever would have been a great goalkeeper if his peak was at the age of 32. I haven't said he's at his peak right now, just that he's at the right age to become a number one. Look at great goalkeepers like Van der Saar, Kahn, Schmeichel.. they all started their career as a number 1 in their early-mid twenties. (I'm saying that without actually checking those stats, so I'm probably wrong here.)

Don't want him back tbh. It's Krul's now, he deserves the chance. He's at the right age to become a number one at a premier league club.

I doubt we'll be that bad against Chelsea. With Barton and Tiote in midfield and also Nolan like he played yesterday we will be very much ready for teams like Chelsea. Added to that we are dangerous with counters with Carroll, Ben Arfa and Routledge.

The scary thing is that last season, they dominated the other "big" clubs. They only won the league by a single point, though.

Still don't think Chelsea are as good as some are thinking tbh. They had the easiest teams who were available for the start of the league. Next week they'll play Man City and that'll be more interesting.
