Not too sure if Gyan will be big succes in the Premier League. What else is he good at than only taking penalties?
-
If we're signing Heskey I hope it's just to have a experienced striker... for the reserves!!!
-
Was only joking, btw.

Wonder if we'll sign a new defender now that Campbell is injured for the rest of the season....

2007, it was after the transfer window ended iirc. 2008, because of the Keegan chaos it was long way into the season - with Joe Kinnear on it. 2009, it was a long way into the season because we didn't have a manager. I expect it to be taken in the next few days now. Obviously we were still wating for Ben Arfa and for all the players to be confirmed to be here till at least January.

Barton has grown up tbf. Won't be any problems between those two.

I think relegation was a good thing, after all. It should have never ever have been allowed to happen, though, and who knows, with KK in charge, with a scoring Owen, who knows where we would have ended the 08/09 season we started so well against Man U, Bolton and Coventry? But after the Keegan disaster happened, the Kinnear spell, I guess relegation was a good thing for the club. Only the players who want to be here are still here, the rest moved on. A manager that is trouble tested is leading us very well at the moment and with that transfer window now, I couldn't have asked for much more in our first season back in the Premier League (I know it's still early days, but still) So, I think, the club should have done the same that it does now, without relegation (reduce wage bill, get rid of over paid "stars") but relegation made it happen faster.

After Leverkusen lost today (in that way) I've decided to not bet on any Bundesliga matches in the near future again. Fucking unpredictable it seems this year.

Shan, bazzards. Haven't had a midnight one since, when? Siberski Xisco. Gonzales. Bertatov to Man U. So, 2008? Edit: It was August/September 2008. Januar 2009 was the first time that it was closed 6pm.

So that it's able for the little kids to be there till the end of the transfer window.

I thought on post is on target. That would explain why it's only 4 goals by 5 shots.
-
"Ehm, well, that's very much speculation at the moment".
-
Hitting the post or bar counts as off-target. So, did Harper made a save or was a ball cleared of the line by any other player?
-
5 shots, 4 goals conceded. Makes me wonder in which game Harper has made a save? Or does this header against Wolves that went of the post count?
-
It was 4-1...
-
True. In Hughton we trust.
-
Good thing that the qualifiers are around the corner now. They are normally easy to predict.
-
This. So can Aalesund. ... and Odd Grenland...
-
No, thanks.

It should be unchanged though, Ben Arfa, Tiote and Campbell need to work their way into the team. Rubbish. I agree, it should be unchanged. Why change a winning team? It's no longer a winning team, we've won 1 out of 3. Ben Arfa and Tiote are better than our other options, they should be starting straight away. I was talking about our home game, but ok, let's say then: "Why change a "not losing and well playing" team?" I would agree that Ben Arfa is better than most, probably all of our offensive options, but he hasn't trained a lot for the last weeks. Don't know much about Tiote tbf. I still wouldn't change the team for that one. Ben Arfa and Tiote can come on for the last 30 or 20 minutes and then they can show how good they are and work themselves into the team.

Says a lot considering they had a photo of "Ben Arfa" with his iPod listening "agent".
-
I was wondering if I was the only one with that opinion.
-
5-0 win. Carroll (2x), Nolan, Enrique, Routledge. Ben Arfa to come on for the final 20 minutes, to get fouled by a frustrated Blackpool player. Injured for the next 3 months.

Aye, we wave the Champions League-o-meter now anyway.
