  1. No, he won't be injured. Hughton would have mentioned it and it's not even that unusual that a player is not seen on the training pics.

For me it just looks like he hasn't washed it for a long time tbh.
  3. Yes, surely. He's out and nobody has heard anything about that. So tell us why he didn't trained then...? I bet he did train - he just wasn't on those photos. Who knows why. He might have been on the toilet the time the pics were taken.
  4. Yes, surely. He's out and nobody has heard anything about that.
  5. We will beat them. They are weaker than we are and the only problem could be that the attitude of the group of lads won't be right - and I doubt Hughton will let that happen. He will have the players once again perfectly prepared.
  6. People like Boularouze had number 10 (or 9? ) once. (Was it at Chelsea?) And I remember Jens Lehmann (yes, the goalkeeper) taking Nr. 9 in a qualifying campaign for Germany as he was still number 2 but refused to take number 12 as usually the second choice goalkeeper would do.
  7. No, that's why I've put two of those into my post.
  8. TBF apparently Smith is told not to go over the half way line by Hughton, so for him to be making any sort of run into the box is a surprise. How are you allowed to be in the dressing room before a match? As i said in another thread, i spoke to Alan Smith's grandad last weekend. He told me this. Obviously we live in a world of wind up's and ITK's but i have no reason not to believe his grandfather. What? Didn't know that. If true, Hughton goes (slightly) down in my estimation. Telling a player not to go over the half way line.

  10. You have to be happy as it is tbh. 2 years ago he was wearing those socks as caretaker manager. http://cache4.asset-cache.net/xc/82802815.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=77BFBA49EF8789215ABF3343C02EA5483E48C1157EEE3C91BADCCAD22B7A304519BBA3764D3A31DF
  11. Absolutely no reason not to give him a new contract then. I'd consider sticking with him even if we go down tbh, at least he's a likeable chap and has done well in the transfer market and I can't see Mike and Derek getting anyone better in. Not with the squad we have now, no. I probably should have added that I really don't think we'll go down. Can you see anyone wanting to come in should we go down? As long as Mike is still here, I can't, which why I would stick with Hughton. No I can't. Probably Kinnear, though. But I agree, we won't go down anyway, I've said that all along btw.

  13. 10 € on Holland, Lettland, Macedonia, England, Croatio, Germany (-3). Returns around 150€.

I think hear the dragging footsteps of a Ronaldo approaching... Aye, was thinking the absolute same.

Last season he dropped Smith © Butt © as well. And the season before he dropped Owen ©.

Because Nolan wants to be the best in training.

    Strongest Eleven

Think about it what you want, I still think that Simpson will be first choice right back unless Perch will suddenly become twice the player he's at the moment.

    Strongest Eleven

Spot on about the RB position, the rest picks itself really. Simpson was dogshit in the championship and regularly the weakest link in the side, which Hughton also clearly saw. Yes, that's why he still played him and didn't replace him with Ryan Taylor. I hope that Simpson's poor form had something to do with him carrying an injury.
  19. Totally. I've never celebrated a goal as much as that one. I almost cried. It was just such a release of utter frustration at the time. How great it would have been (for Carroll, Shearer and the fans) if Carroll would have scored a late goal against Villa that would have kept us up...

    Strongest Eleven

Me, too. But it's a possibility.

    Strongest Eleven

But we'd not have signed them if Hughton didn't feel they'd be in his strongest eleven. Backup signings?
  22. Thought the same tbh. Rooney always has been a player who seemed to live from his mental strength.
  23. Any idiot can see that Harper isn't ready any more tbh.

    Joey Barton

The point that he didn't show his class in that game still stands, though.
