Is that "realistic" though? Would love him to come here, no doubt about it.

Think it'll be a close one. As some said - they won't have Milner which is good for us. We should have Guthrie and Lovenkrands back which is good for us, too. I'd go for a 2-1 win with them scoring early and we're coming back after Hughton put a second striker on and we play 4-4-2.

I am not interested in moving on, I have no interest in signing some 2nd rate back up player who will turn out to be another Leon Best or Kevin Nolan. Just fuck off Ashley and stick your cash up your arse. Nolan was actually first choice signing at that time, wasn't he? We made a lot of noise about signing M'Bia and Veloso for £10million beforehand. Sound familiar? Aye, right. Forgot about them, actually.

Exactly. Agree to a degree, but it's not really enforceable or practical throughout Europer since leagues start at different times. The current way ain't working though. The leagues should all start at the same time then. That's shit as well, anyway. Why can't every league start and end at the same time? Surely not that hard to sort out. (With exceptions to those norway and russia for example)

Would be the best for every team/manager if the transfer window started two weeks earlier and ended as soon as the league started.
-
No. Unlikely i know, but the lad does seem set on joining us! In the end this is football, though. And no hollywood movie, where it would probably happen.
-
What would the deadline-day without all that?
-
Have just checked a forum of Werder Bremen... they assume it's a done deal. Allthough, we though that some days ago as well.
-
Said that before, that's quite strange. Not believing it yet. Could be something to increase our offers for him or anything.
-
Strange that as I haven't heard/read anything in the German media via TV/radio/internet.

Agree. I thought that after (against Man Utd) Harper punched a cross away out of his box to a corner. I thought Krul might had his problems with that. Krul is the better shot stopper, might do a few more world class saves than Harper, but in generall, it wouldn't be too sensible to put him in goal now for the league games.

Bellamy had 39, Viera has 24, De Jong has 34, Tevez 32 (had it at Man Utd as well I think, but still) Didn't know that Balotelli always has the 45, though.

Love it that every City new signing seems to get shit number. http://cache1.asset-cache.net/xc/103416107.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=77BFBA49EF87892102A727B1636DE2E6CEC35A354B49D018FB2B9AA48A4BB3B55AF8E0B94389969C

Aye, agree with most of that.

That's not as bad as the fucking German commentator, though. (who obviously was a ManUtd fan) They had the ball: "Scholes, Rooney, Scholes, Berbatov..." (and so on) Whe had the ball: "Silence... silence... silence... silence... oh, Evra (in the moment they got the ball back". (Tbf, we didn't had the ball that much, but I still noticed it)
-
Point taken. But maybe it's a bit early to write him off just yet. I can remember everyone was slating Enrique when he first played for us and he's probably our best player now. Enrique didn't look as poor as Perch does at the moment iirc.

This. Midfielder. Badly Striker is a massively bigger need. We've got one striker that offers any real threat whatsoever in our whole squad, we need someone else. The need for a midfielder is bigger, though. Without a good midfield we won't create (m)any chances, and without chances even a top striker won't get goals. (We had Martins, Viduka and Owen here two years ago)
-
Thought it was a better performance than that 6-0 (I know, it was under Pearson) and that 5-1 those two years ago.
-
Somehow, I have to laugh everytime I see him. His press conferences were somehow legendary, his swearing at the journalists. His lying over the contract situation of Owen... his made-up transfer stories... Yet he'll be the manager I will hate the most.
-
Could be. He said he's 3 weeks behind, so Blackpool seems realistic.
-
Will Campbell be back for that match?
-
To have Guthrie back would be really good. I doubt he'd play, though. I think it'll be Nolan & Barton in CM with Carroll and Lovenkrands up front. Hope Hughton plays with two strikers at least at home. Carroll needs support up there or he's a bit lost.
