This. I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw a group of lads who seem to WANT to play for and with each other. That can never be underestimated. Probably the first few games under Roeder, those 8 games under Keegan certainly as well. But you're right, Hughton seems to have got the players together to a good group of lads, who are really playing for each other.

They both played for us in the Championship, Williamson looked the better player then as well. Agree. Williamson looks so calm, never seems to panic which is very important for a central defender.

People have forgotten just how piss poor Colo was when we got relegated, at one point Taylor was the only player who was giving us a fighting chance against going down, Willo has been decent indeed but he's not by any means proved in the EPL, just because we've beaten Villa 6-0 dosn't mean their going to keep doing this all season, Sol Campbell is 35 and i still not match fit, so i'd pretty much rather have our one proven premier league center back than any of those 3. Taylor isn't exactly rock solid at centre back either, is he.

Not played a game for England since we signed him. He did I think. I seem to remember him starting one game up front alongside Owen (the last time I remember him actually playing for England or up front) and he wore the number 9 shirt I think it was when he had just signed mind. Can't remember who it was against. That match you're talking about was against Germany, I think. Both, Owen and Smith played like clowns up front.
