Seems Hughton is more keen to play him on the wing for some reason. He came on to replace Jonas yesterday with Carroll and Shola up front. The reason might be that Hughton doesn't have anyone else for the (left) wing.

You fishing? Nolan did nothing. Granted, Smith gave stupid fouls away, but at least we saw him getting involved. Nolan was the most pointless player we've ever seen last night. Agree. Nolan was our worst player together with Perch imo.
-
At least with Nolan behind him.
-
Yeah, same happend for me. The whole interview was just repeated then, without the pictures from the match and without the Ben Arfa question.

Yeah, thought the same. Thought he did more in his 10 minutes than Jonas in the 80 before.
-
Lack of mobility from Harper. Should have reacted quicker.
-
Thought both, Coloccini and Williamson did quite well. We've seen much worse at Old Trafford with the likes of Boumsong.

I'd really like to see Krul in goal against Villa. Would probably be a bit harsh on Harper, but he seems to be getting a bit slow these days. Krul will make the odd mistake, but will also make some world class saves. Mancini played Hart instead of Given, don't know why Hughton shouldn't try Krul. Won't happen, though.

Breadsticks. Sorry?

Was probably wrong what I've said about Ashley and being happy with him and all that... But the thing is, though, that spending the way like Man City do, and like Chelsea did, isn't the right way to go.

Why was Lövenkrands not even on the bench btw?
-
We'll win. Reason: I'll be there.
-
After today's game: We need him even more now.

My views: Think Enrique, Williamson, Coloccini, Routledge and Carroll are the positives from that night. Enrique looked good as ever (apart from that assist to Berbatov) while Colo and Willo looked comfortbale for most of the time at centre back. Routledge can actually beat a man and Carroll won most of the headers, only there was no one to do something with the ball. On the other hand, Perch, Jonas and mostly, Nolan were the negatives. Nolan was not on the pitch for me today. I hope he was at Shearer's party yesterday as that would be his only good excuse. Perch clearly can't cope with any pressure on his side and Jonas was poor all day. He also was responsible for the first goal, by losing that ball right at the penalty area. Shouldn't have happend.

Will drive to some mate now who has pay-tv (which I haven't yet) to watch this in HD. Really hoping we'll get something from the game, I would love it if we beat them, love it.

Certainly looking like it. What with him reconsigning the need for both stability and progression thus providing the funds to not only keep us in the league, but build a good team that will over time achieve success while remaining financially stable. Exactly.

Let him buy that shit club. I'm getting more and more happy with our current ownership tbh. They made big, very big mistakes but at the moment, they're not doing much wrong. Splashing millions of money like Man City do is not the way forward and I hope that Ashley will be a good owner for the long-term.

Nicky Butt... Had to laugh about the last sentence. Nobody calling like Real Madrid, Chelsea or AC Milan? http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/united-will-always-have-a-massive-place-in-nickys-

Why can Cardiff afford him and we can't btw?
-
Sky are normally so far off the mark these days with us, I doubt thats the case. If it is, bye bye. Of course it won't be Smith as a striker

We could have lost it even easier. They had an awfull lot of chances. Given was absolute world class that day. Aye i remember now. Haprer was in a mood that he had been dropped to the bench cos i think he played a bit towards the end of the 07/08 season. He'd sent a text to somebody i know saying how pi***d off he was at being dropped, and then after the game he texted him back saying: 'That's why'. Thought Harper was slightly injured that day. Could be wrong, though.
