Wasn't to be again. Have that kind of long-term bet as well: PL: ManUtd LA Liga: Real Madrid Seria A: Inter Bundesliga: Bayern Munich 5 € returns around 130€.

M'Tenbar? He is so unknown that he has not even made it into google. Could be the reason why he's only driving a Fiat Punto.
-
Happy for Carroll. Will give him an extra bit of motivation which can only be a good thing.

Like the Shearer - Bellamy partnership.

Don't agree with you. 1. I don't spent that much on betting. Yes, it has become a bit more recently but I would never spent more money on betting than I could afford. I have my limits. 2. That IS a good bet. I don't know if you're following the Tour but Lance has said, after he lost 15 minutes to the race leaders that he now wants to win a stage. So, he will (hopefully) win a stage.
-
This morning I did my usual 10 € on Armstrong to win the stage. The difference is, today, it could actually happen.

Maybe. Great striker but difficult character. Could destroy the team moral, that's why "maybe".

Withdrew after the ref decided to fuck me over and rule out one of the best goals I've seen, so only lost £37. But still, I've not seen so much play towards one goal and that team not winning. Fucking hell, shots on goal was something like 23 - 2 iirc. How did you only lose 37 then? Couldn't believe they haven't scored either. Wanted to place my bet via mobile today, did that. And instead of 19,5€ it didn't take my comma and so I've accidentally put 195€ on Tromso dnb. Very nervous 90 minutes for me. Glad I've got my money back, at least. On the other hand, disappointed to not get a great win. Imagine if they'd won? And I bet with 2.35 odds, when I withdrew it was still only 2.50 but it just really felt like a typical "they played so well and still only drew, fucks sake" match, so I pussied out. Ah, allright then. Yeah, would have been quite a great win (would have returned 292,50€). But still, I have rather bets with smaller stakes than that. Really was nervous, through the end I wouldn't have been surprised if Lillestrom would have scored an undeserved goal.

neither did i Didn't know it, too. There wasn't an official announcement on that iirc.

He's always talked a good story. Think he has changed, too. And really hope it, obviously.

Barton should just concentrate on playing football for us. But he's right, though. England's midfield at the World Cup was shit and Nolan, Guthrie and Barton wouldn't have done any worse than they did.
-
Occaisionally played some good stuff at home last season. Not consistantly though. We played some good football under Roeder as well. Alkmaar at home (4-2, UEFA CUP) comes to my mind for example. Or the 2-2 draw vs. Man Utd. Even the first match under Allardyce vs Bolton was entertaining iirc.

Joined it Hope there are some more from here who join in.

This. Winning >>> playing attractive football combined with losing.
-
If you say so.... At what point? Some people always want to see us playing great football, it seems, even if it meant to lose.
-
Times have changed. We had Allardyce in a time in which we had players like Viduka, Martins, Owen, Emre, N'Zogbia and so on. We could have played some really really good football with them. Keegan showed that in those (almost) legendary 8 games starting against Birmingham. Now, we just came back from the Championship. We have to adjust our level of expectation. We MUST stay up next season, end of it. To your question, you don't "deserve the shot" for wanting to play us good football - I want the same. But I want us to stay up first, and secondly play some attractive football. For this season: If we stay up, fine. If we play good football, even better. Everything else than staying up, as things stand, is a bonus. And last but not least, it's HUGHTON!!!
-
I sadly think that staying up will be the priority as long as Ashley is our owner.
-
I'm gonna blame you since they'd have won had you put it on. I cannot always give my great betting luck to everyone, everyday.
-
Anyone who would rather go down playing "pretty" fooball than staying up with Fat Sam kind of football deserves the shot tbh. For our club it's more important to stay up, that, and only that counts. Nobody will ask how we did it after the season. Once we're safe, we should look to play some nice football, though.

Just came back and looked straight at the Rosenborg result. Well, now I'm very happy that I haven't put a bet on them or (-1). Sympathy to all who did.

How safe do you think is that? Not safe enough for a massive bet since I've already cost you €50 with Molde. But on paper it should be safe. Hm, I know if I'm not putting anything on it they'll win 4-0 or so. Anyway, I'll better leave it for today. Made a nice profit over the last 3 weeks, I don't want to lose the majority of it in one day. Taken the lead already. Yeah, just seen it. Seems not to be my day. Even worse that I "knew" it. Can only hope (sorry for your tip ) that it'll stay 1-0 or end 2-1.
