You might have more fun by just throwing it out of the window of your car while driving over some highway.

Probably? I don't know. Never played through an injury myself. But I could imagine that if you aren't able to run free of pain you can't be at your best. It's a bit of a persistent, and perhaps petty point to make, but if injury is an excuse for him being shite, then he must have been injured for his whole time here. If I remember correctly, many on here started to say that he does well as right back and that he could develop into a decent RB at the start of the season. At the end of the season he was pretty much the worst player (well, probably behind Butt) in the eyes of many here. Don't know how long he was carrying that injury tbh. But I try to keep some hope alive that he will make a good defender because I don't really think that we will sign somebody who's better.

Might be a reason for Simpson's poor perfomances that he was carrying and injury, though.

Changed my team a bit... http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/8827/teamd.jpg

At the 2002 World Cup they had this goalkeeper (Chilavere or something like that was his name) who had a great goal record from free-kicks and penalties.

All right than. Hope the points one player has scored will stay than.

Just been reading those rules... Does that mean that if I have a player who got me let's say 10 points - and his team will drop out of the WC, so I would sell him - every of those 10 points will be lost? Or is it allowed to transfer players after each round without losing points?

100 € on England/Argentina double (to win their first respective matches). Will be a quite nervous Saturday for me.

£7m was the rumorued amount Chelsea are looking to bid http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2010/06/06/1961642/chelsea-to-bid-7m-for-andy-carroll-of-newcastle-united I'd take 12 million, 20% sell on profit and they can loan him back to us for this year Wouldn't even take 20 million tbh. We won't buy a new striker from that money because we couldn't (wouldn't want to) afford the wages. We really should keep Carroll and see how he develops. disagree, because he won't develop with us, no-one ever does we'd be best taking whatever money we can get for him now before he takes the inevitable personal slide, assuming the end game is to sell him that is - if the end game is to keep him and improve the team on the pitch then that's different if we want money we should sell him now while the irons hot There is a few like Given, Bassong, Enrique and Taylor. I still believe Taylor is a decent CB by PL standards, although he is better at RB. Not to forget Carroll himself who has become a better player over the last two years. Ranger is another example.

Wonder if they brought an atomic bomb into their hotel, too.

Because you put this name into this thread:

Too old + too expensive + too many good other options for him = unrealistic. Don't think we should go for him anyway. Had too many injury problems in his last years as well. Would probably be a bit like the Owen/Duff transfer.
-
We dont need a lazy over paid German stroling around the pitch like he owns the place. Would have him over our current midfield every day. Can score goals when played as OM and can also play as a holding midfielder. Don't think he's realistic, though.
-
It does. Would be my first choice. Played a great season and played Champions League till the final. What did Neuer? Well, he did well during the season (most clean sheets in the Bundesliga) but I think he'll be too young for such a big tournament without having played in any CL match before and just not having enough experience. The real reason, allthough might be that Butt hasn't played for the national team since around 2003 or so.
-
Btw Butt won't start. 100 %. He's third choice behind Neuer and Wiese. But if those two get injured... you never know...

Will watch at home or with some friends at BBQ parties. Good timing of the world cup: 11th June = 1st day of World Cup & last day of my final exams.
-
All right. That's what I would have thought as well. Thought they won't be that easy to beat as they were in 2006.
-
How are USA these days btw? Will it be "easy going" for England in that first group match or will it be a close call? Haven't seen anything of the US since the last World Cup.
-
Incredible. Another top player out then.
-
I think it's also quite comical that "he" seems to be only one person but uses "we" all the time.
-
Man, that team seems good. I fucking hate these things, nearly always come last Don't know if'll be good. First time that I'm doing this Fantasy stuff.
