  1. All bar R.Taylor, Butt, Best and Hall. I would also say Pancrate isn't good enough, but he isn't listed.
  2. Don't think we really lookes 2nd best against Forest tbh. Think we played well in the first half as well as in the second and just the goal was missing. But I think we were better than them.
  3. Wouldn't think so, here the televised 3 pm kick off is Doncaster - Plymouth. Thanks. What a great game that will be. Because all 50 Newcastle games televised this season have been sterling entertainment. (fwiw, both of our TV games were excellent to watch) As a neutral football fan (which I'm not) I would rather watch "Newcastle vs any-CCC-team" than Doncaster - Plymouth.

  5. Agree with that 100%. And yes, not any manager can get things 100% right. Even the great Sir Alex bought an useless Michael Owen and even "the special one" bought Quaresma who doesn't get many games now. So I think one bad buy in Leon Best is surely not too bad, considering how many good buys Hughton has done in January.
  6. Have decided myself now to bet only with little money today. Big money party tomorrow. 8,85€ on WBA/Scunthorpe (draw no bet) double. Returns about 25€.
  7. Will this be live on ESPN again? Would be nice, because it would also mean it would be on bet365.
  8. deffo taking us this weekend but undecided as to an accy or biggish single. I'll do both. Backing us big, a bit smaller at (-1) and taking us into an accy as well. Today I'm very tempted to back WBA big, but on the other side I don't want them to win...
  9. Played it save tonight. About 25 € plus this time.
  10. 6,62 € on Hamburg, Fulham double. Returns a bit more than 20€. Edit: And and extra 10er on Fulham to win.
  11. Was celebrating 6:00 in the morning as I turned my TV on and saw the yellow line on SKY News. Was really excited about this and hoped this would still end our season in the Premier League.
  12. Was really shocked while reading this and thinking "WTF? NO! Please not again!" Until I realised it's April 1st. http://www.nufcblog.com/2010/04/01/chris-hughton-out-at-newcastle-owner-fires-manager/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+nufcblog+%28The+Newcastle+United+Blog%29
  13. Doubt if Owen gives a shit. Doubt he'll even know about this. Guess he's sitting on a horse right now...
  14. Guerrero's record isn't great. Isn't great but it isn't bad either. 27 goals in about 90 games. I think he would be the right sort of player we should be looking for. 1 in 3 is a very decent record IMO. speaking of Peruvian strikers. Remember Jefferson Farfan? doesn`t seem to be as prolific at Schalke unlike his PSV days but haven`t seen much of him lately. Kuranyi is in excellent form (and available on a free ) Again, Kuranyi will never come here. He'll either stay at Schalke or go to a top club. I doubt he would like to play in the premiership. I wouldn't even want him as he's an absolute cunt. Don't really know about Farfan but doubt he'll leave Schalke. Having said that - Magath said in the last transfer window that "every player but Manuel Neuer could leave the club if the offer would be right" - so you never know. In other news: Cacau of Stuttgart just said he'll leave the club after the season. Hasn't said where he'll go yet.
  15. 10 € on Arsenal/draw, Inter double. Returns just about 20 €.

  17. Altintop seems quite realistic as he wants probably away from Bayern. Could more imagine that he would go to Schalke, though. (his brother plays there) Maybe too old, that's the only problem.
  18. If he was letting Keiron Dyer pick his signings then we deserve everything we got TBH. tbf to Kieron Dyer - he was probably right here. Nicky Butt at least once was a very good footballer while I'm wondering everytime I see how Van Bommel could ever become a pro. footballer. He can't pick a long pass and has absolutely no technical ability. The only thing he can is making a sliding tackle. Butt at least knows how to do a overhead kick.
  19. Now it would be that big chance for Michael Owen to have a run in for 4 weeks and score goals and secure a place for SA. A pity for him that he's injured.
  20. This. Work permits become an issue for anyone that isn't an established international. Completely different style of game too so adaptability would be an issue. ... and attitude of Brazilian players. Sometimes they're fat and unmotivated after they got the big money. Sometimes they simply go home because some of their relatives had died or something like that.
  21. I still have hope that once we are back in the Premiership that Nolan finally will realize he's too fat and slow and unfit and will start working on his fitness. He wants to be a leader - than he should also be a role model in terms of fitness.
  22. Depends on the match between the both sides. If Chelsea wins yes, if Man U wins than it's still very much their title imo.
