  1. EDIT: that was at the caulkin tweet not you Matt
  2. someone said he was a walking red card iirc
  3. How is £60m plus sales tiny? That level would require MA putting more cash in, which is never going to happen. I don't think the big issue here is about transfer funds. It's about building the infrastructure and allowing Rafa to manage the sporting operations without interference. Totally against Ashley's usual MO of micromanagement (which is why he has family & friends as lackeys in all of his businesses). aye tempted to agree, lot of people get carried away with the TV money thinking it's infinite or something and that every club but us is spending £100m every season, but i would argue the bigger issue is that ashley will seemingly never allow the club to spend based on future guaranteed income say we've spent £30-40m this summer but a player comes available in january who rafa is desperate for then we should be able to loan the money against PL TV cash to come in but he'll never do that kind of thing...the almiron one was different but suspect it was only cause he feared relegation again...not explaining that well probably roughly how much cash could we spend (excluding sales) on players that wouldn't require loans or cash injections, anyone know?
  4. everton badly need a striker like...i think mitro works when surrounded by pace with a couple of high wingers/AF's working off him, not sure if everton have that tbh
  5. i mean rondon is a decent big striker as well like, neither of them are top level players i'm afraid
  6. if moving from pardew to carver to rafa didn't teach you about the importance of a manager then it's time to start watching a new sport
  7. he's just a decent big striker isn't he?
  8. same way it takes us 2 months to trigger an £8m release clause for a player To be fair considering it should have been sorted months again, or even last summer if they weren't cunts, 48 hours is nowt. Considering how much shit Rafa will want to go through it's expected really. can i have £50m to spend + sales £5m + no sales no £50m + sales £5.1m + 1% sales £50m + sales ....
  9. same way it takes us 2 months to trigger an £8m release clause for a player
  10. if rafa fucks off i'd like to think he'd do the same for the good of his career, whoever the next pardew is could see him disappear from existence
  11. rice and longstaff would be an outstanding midfield pair imo
  12. same here, solksjaer copying fergie style getting young players from PL clubs before they get mint they could do with rice as well probably but the comparisons are lazy they're fuck all alike...longstaff more like a pobga replacement on the ball who will graft as well hope he stays forever with rafa, goes without saying
  13. zidane made them agree to whatever he wanted to come back didn't he? quit in the first place as he asked for a squad overhaul and they fucked him off...looks like he's getting it now
  14. Well they aren't going to win a title till Pep/Klopp are gone anyway. I don't see why Sarri definitely won't win a title there anyway compared to others. People go on about him not winning stuff like he's been managing Inter, Juve and Milan for the last 20 years. He had one chance at Napoli where he was already massively overachieving by budget and he was responsible for basically the only year where Juve were actually put under pressure to win the league Sarri is also Italian there's almost certainly a reason for this no? given the turnover of managers at italian clubs wonder why he was never given a decent shot at anything until napoli
  15. why the fuck did i waste 2 hours watching that shite last night man, the standard was jaw droppingly low though sunderland far superior like...if they had a cutting edge they'd have murdered pompey
  16. they'll get through imo
  17. what in the name of....is that a bot sending death threats on behalf of sunderland AFC?
  18. correct, would have been done before the fulham game
  19. He's a player who's actually able to dribble through the middle of the park. Has spent a terrible amount of time in the Champo, mind. Would transform our team. where would you play him in our team?
  20. this will fall apart next week or soon after, they don't want Sky asking questions and talking about him in such a game so a bit of positivity in talks is well timed for them get the last 2 games over with then go dark until his contract expires
  21. Urgh. Horrible timing for those comments, right before a game such as this with the world watching. He'd have been signed if it was happening imo. They'll have bullshitted this week to avoid the chances of protests tomorrow. Expect next week it'll all fall apart.
  22. said this the other week, if the club had any intention of keeping him this would have already happened - sign for a year, not happy with the business we do for you fuck off after a season should be the easiest thing in the world but as ever ashley will hide behind them not wanting to back a manager who wouldn't commit etc.
