good performance and consolation in a 7-1 defeat would do -
Krul made 14 saves aye was that not a PL record or something?
-
is that real? we got fucking dicked, they just couldn't score
-
what are we expecting to see in the next set of accounts then, the club sitting with cash in the bank or ashley's 18m paid back, or both?
-
christ i've just seen it
-
is this lamela goal as good as it sounds?
-
that was actually an amazing post by slim
-
madness the time and effort they put into getting cabella and him not to be playing, i wonder what lines he spins ashley etc. for why it's not working

is it just me with him but should he literally be nowhere near his own teams goal? every time i see him anywhere near that end of the pitch he's an absolute liability -
this bit in particular will only happen if we stay down imo, and maybe not even then as the football will get cheaper still in the same way our fans are afraid of looking stupid with protests etc. i also think the supafan element will keep many of them after relegation - we the "greatest fans in the world" don't forget and bailing at a relegation just wouldn't do it'd probably take a few years of scrubbing around the doldrums of the championship, or worse
-
maybe he thinks he's coping ali's rope-a-dope or something and revolutionising the sport sit back, play possum, and when they think you're dead that's when we strike in every single game

he's never a football manager in a million years this bloke like He is just a blagger, he has blagged his way through football. All he does is set a team up to "not lose" and has his team graft! We are a shocking side who play shocking football, he has successfully binned off 3 talented techinical players as they dont fit into his "graft at all costs" small time mentallity. I can only see NUFC going one way this season, scary that journos dont see this. i agree, he's probably implementing the training methods he remembers from being a player in the '80's & '90's so the team are semi-fit and semi-organised but there's no fucking way he's a proper football coach like, none whatsoever, i truly believe you could give any one of us a competent backroom staff and we'd do better than pardew is now

depends on your outlook and what you want the player to do, if it's track back and cover the fullback and have virtually zero attacking impact then there's certainly a choice to be made between the two That is a complete fallacy though. Gouffran runs around a lot but gives his full-back no actual protection whatsoever. I don't blame him because he's not a defender, but our left-back is as exposed now as he would be given zero protection from anyone else. Gouffran in this role has one trademark move and one trademark move only, to come short infield, give it back, turn and run forwards. He literally contributes nothing else apart from being the 11th player on the pitch. Pardew knows nothing about football so he simply cannot spot this it seems. i agree actually, saw him stood watching vs. leicester at the weekend...still if i was him i wouldn't give fuck either
-
i'd be amazed if his cowardly approach ever got any rewards at citeh like, regardless of the competition or cirucmstances

they could very easily have put 3 or 4 past citeh at the weekend, unless pardiola manages to successfully park the bus they'll score a few even last year when we beat them they carved us up for fun just krul and their own profligacy cost them -
i would love to see a comparison of pardew's points total vs. the top 6 over the last 2 seasons vs. all of the other teams finishing bottom half of the table in the same period
-
i didn't mean it's an official thing, it just is what it is, newcastle is the biggest and best place in the north east, simple as that and yes of course to your second point
-
if that happens we all might as well just pack in any illusion of hope we have left then it's never going to happen, no way
-
the next game we look likely to win is more than a month away and it'd be another victory vs. the worst team in the league again if we get it it'll be followed by a sound beating at west ham and we'll be into december having won 2 games this season in the league
-
i know some people are worried about spurs thinking they don't look too hot but both them and liverpool look like they could open us up at will regardless of how dodgily they're playing overall
-
that's what i thought aye, i was getting something from him at one point in that keegan and robson showed that with the right manager the support can be harnessed to create something special at NUFC but when you pointed out that this is the case with a lot of clubs the wheels seemed to come off I felt like he was saying there is something different in like the "soul" of the club and our fans are diff to anyone else's and want diff things. All felt very Liverpool to me in a way he's right though, liverpool/manyoo or whoever don't "represent the region" in the way NUFC arguably does, we're probably the only club to be able to claim that (?) to many in the uk newcastle is the north east so when the club is on the up it reflects positively on the region as a whole that says nothing about soul or anything obviously
