i don't necessarily agree, he's shown in the past he can organise a defence but the problem is that he can't do it at the same time as getting the team to transition effectively between attack and defence so in effect it's either all defence or some attack and chaos at the back

if pardew has managed to convince ashley, or indeed anyone else on the planet, that the answer to our problems is a striker then we're in serious fucking trouble
