i'm in agreement, they'd have been better spending their 100m mata & di maria money on 7-10 well-identified players of this value in a lower age bracket and gambling that at least 5 or more of them come good in the next few years watching them at the weekend danny mills made a good point i thought when manyoo tried to break, he said that in van gaal's holland team they give the ball to robben and he'll carry it 50+ yards on his own due to his sheer pace, this current manyoo team really lack that imho and it'll hurt them long term if he's trying to play the same game they also lack at least 2 top quality CB's as well of course i rate di maria very highly myself but it think he should have been bought to complement a group of younger, pacier additions to make it tick future looks bleak for mata as well, he just doesn't seem to fit

think they'll promote satka to 4th choice?

Absolutely miles behind at this stage. Henderson was bang average at best and now he's a very good midfielder imo. Colback is bang average at best... He's just playing with better players and a better coach imho Couldn't disagree more, his progress has been much more than something as simple as that imo. Nah, we saw the real Henderson during the world cup tbh. Henderson was fine at doing what he does in the WC imo. Aye, fuck all. Anyway I'm saying they're similar in many senses, keep it tidy, rarely lose it, rarely make major fuck ups but neither of them have many memorable games tbh

Hit me with them. Are you asking me if Ashley would realistically appoint them or if there are better managers who hypothetically might be prepared to come to us if asked? Off the top of my head, I think we could have approached and had discussions with Bielsa (before he went to Marseille), Tuchel, Paco Jemez, Dragan Stojkovic, Zdenek Zemen, Laudrup, De Boer, Ketsbaia, Eddie Howe. I don't see a reason why the above list that I came up with in one minute could not be enlarged with extra thought. Clearly not all of them would be prepared to work for Ashley but that wasn't what I said. is there a reason you didn't mention moyes btw? Forgot about him to be honest. I'd like Moyes here but I suspect his wages would be too high. I think in general, as with English players, better value seems to be found abroad. For example, I think Bilic is only on 600k a year, and the Algerian coach was on 300k or something low. Think Moyes could be convinced personally, he'll doubtless have a point to prove after his treatment at Manyoo

i think the boost it would give to everyone him even being on the bench would be immeasurable, imagine the fret as stated hopefully he's too much of a cunt to ever consider it

madness this like, pardew could transform the entire feeling around the club by sitting down with him and bringing HBA back to the fold for palace if you were pardew you'd surely know you need a win, and by that i don't mean a ground out 1-0 vs. the worst team in the division, i mean he needs a win himself to try and get people back on his side...surprising everyone and putting HBA on the bench saturday with the intention to throw him in if we're not winning would go a long way to helping his cause lucky he's such a fuckwit or he might actually do it

jesus 'swapping' mbiwa for richards would be an absolute disaster long-term we'll be trying to force HBA out of the club and playing obertang next

re: colback and england i was actually thinking during the villa game - in all honesty how far below henderson is colback as a player? this is not to say i rate colback particularly highly btw
-
to be fair to the guy he wasn't arguing it he just posed it as a question on the assumption that ashley will appoint someone gash, which he probably will would rather have a gash attacking manager than a gash defensive coward though
-
just had the conversation with someone about sacking him and was asked the question about "who would replace him though?" for me, at this point, it's absolutely irrelevant because i firmly believe that there's not another manager on the planet who could look at the squad of players we have and think safety-first football and trying to win every game 1-0 is the way to go ergo we'll be in a better position whoever takes over unless they're an absolute incompetent
-
damning in what sense? EDIT: because personally i can't see how anyone could deem to judge riviere, perez or ferreyra based on the attacking quality the rest of the team has displayed to this point we'd have literally had to sign messi or ronaldo for them to have made an impact
-
they'll still outscore the majority of the league and it'll keep them in contention to near the end i reckon, they'll trip up as they've just done against citeh's and chelski's
-
i find it interesting that he's almost managed to relegate us and produced one of the worst seasons in recent memory at the same time of being shat out of the cup by anyone that turns up on the day against us, year after year something doesn't compute
-
new manager i'm not that concerned about goals, they'll come with what we have CB's is a horror story though
-
should probably have opened the picture again not as bad then, i initially thought it was something NUFC had chosen
-
Holy shit. It's like when Biff had that massive casino. The Mastermind. stupid question like but is that our programme or villa's? have we always done programmes for away games? 'cause if it's villa's programme then.....

I can't accept that every manager accepts money over trophies. That's just not the normal mindset of a professional sportsman. I can accept that the board of a club looks at the finances. A manager is a born and bred football man who only wants to win football matches. Most managers I should say. Ours is a bit of an exception. absolute nail on the head man, said it before myself as well, this is fundamentally my biggest problem with him when it comes to this sort of shite
-
the mastermind
-
nah fuck that, as has been said the mouthpiece prick doesn't need to say anymore than "we're going to give it our all to win a cup" he's getting his excuses in early as ever
-
Fucking hell!!! who the fuck does he think is reading that? fucking blogs man
