wait, what, when was this?
-
always had my doubts about arsenal paying 12m for a 28 year old RB like, other clubs maybe but not arsenal
-
Commentator on Bein is saying some truly incredible things like
-
Pardew-esque from Deschamps, instead of having a tactical answer just throw forwards on.
-
It's been obvious what France needed to do from very early on tbh
-
Poor move, should have pushed Cabs into the space
-
Get the feeling Deschamps will try and fix this the wrong way by putting Giroud in. What he needs to fix is getting someone between the German midfield and defence or they're done. Midfield is too deep and Pogba/Matuidi doing the same thing ib the same places. Too easy.
-
Muscled off the ball to easily man I dunno, can't win every header/tackle His positioning was poor whatever way you look at it, he let the attacker get momentum so it was barely necessary for Hummels to push him in the opposite direction.
-
Souness commenting on Bein sports, he's like a fucking disoriented old man
-
He's good when playing against teams of a lesser standard so will always get about 15 goals a seasons but he is ridiculously ineffective when playing against good quality Yeah, that sums up how I feel about him really

Fred has been abysmal in the World Cup, but this team has played this tactic the last 18months and Fred has a 0.5 goal ratio per game for the national side, higher than most players in the world. The reason to him being benched is that (if it now really happens) he hasn't helped out in the pressing game. We've lacked pressing and he's a reason to it as he's the leader of it. Scolari is looking to play like at the Confed today hopefully and with the amount of speed in that defensive midfield Ramires or Fernandinho could nullify Rodriguez. I'm not sure we'll see Fred benched, but if he is I'll be much more confident. Also, the tactic was tried 15minutes in training and that was enough for Scolari to decide that it was the best system according to rumours. in the games i've seen pressing really didn't appear to be the problem to me That's been our biggest problem this far tbh We're not a good team in slow tempo so when we don't win the ball back fast we're not creating. interesting, you're obviously the expert - as a wider point do you think scolari is getting it right playing this way?

can't believe there's any doubt about benching fred, jesus
-
What? pretty clear, he's alright but not top class
-
no idea what anyone sees in giroud tbh
-
was a perfect storm of shitness in the last france match, giroud stinking it up in the middle and benzema flouncing about doing fuck all on the left
-
reasons behind the scenes we don't know about? maybe he wants to stay at the club and thinks he can outlive pardew btw while i agree his shape looks poor with a couple of weeks intensive pre-season training he'd be as fit as a fucking fiddle imo
-
I think you underestimate the Cabaye effect. Two years or so here, prove they can do it against the best, move to a Champions League club. almost certainly part of the sales pitch imho when we do actually bother to get to the point of speaking to a player
-
mapou bit of that article is fucking infuriating once again
-
you want pace and movement vs. those german CB's anyway, nippy and tricky fuckers working the channels getting in between/behind them and that too....not giroud comically falling around and combing his hair
-
so he should be, griezmann was mint from the moment he stepped on the pitch...they'll have a much better chance with him on the left
-
germany will be praying france stick with giroud, he was woeful in the last match, in fact so were france until he went off actually
-
colback, don't kid yourself heard a rumour somewhere about rodwell, he'd be about as good as we're going to get if they could loan with a view to buy or something thus postponing actually paying for him until another year of the TV money kicks in pards wants inglish don't forget
