  1. The core of a decent squad there, a few sensible additions would make it a tidy team. just shows you how wretched our squad is overall tbh mind, we've an absolute mountain of dogshit to get rid of
  2. Test them before starting. Although testing footballers before testing frontline NHS workers would be a terrible idea. tracks pretty well for this wretched fucking country tbph
  3. It would be a PR own goal to get rid of Bruce immediately like...there’s a fairly significant number of (mainly older) fans who like the guy, and think he’s done a decent job in the circumstances. They will obviously be planning for bigger and better things, but keeping Bruce to see out the season is fine in my opinion. i'd argue that depends who the manager is they're bringing in myself, you're not gonna be crying for steve bacon if pep guardiola turns up at the door are you but yeah i see the logic if the season is finishing, i just don't agree with the conclusion to keep him season is dead, get the new guy in with his whole team to start planting ideas and systems for next season also letting him assess the players he's already got at disposal the only thing keeping bruce achieves is losing time imo (unless the manager will be rafa in which case there would be less of a transition required obviosuly)
  4. i'd love to read your thoughts on non-capitalist systems that have never and will never be allowed to exist because of the very nature of capitalism itself EDIT: just look at the calls for something as basic as UBI, boot straight on the neck from the capitalist blood suckers because god forbid they try and and something remotely socialist that could easily be implemented within capitalism itself actually work and give people ideas
  5. imagine making a £300m investment and letting steve bruce run it man, they'd be instantly destroying their credibility from day one hughes wasn't a busted flush at man city when they let him run with things iirc, he was still on a fairly upward trajectory bruce
  6. Don't buy these opinions. The wealth fund is $340bn at the moment no? They could spend 1% of that on us and we'd be fucking laughing. They're not gonna shit the bed over the current oil price, this is clearly a long term thing and oil ain't going away soon.
  7. been thinking about this recently, are all teams fanbases as split between daft arsehole cunts and normal, sensible people? we seem to have soooooooo many dickheads like, it's untrue remember years back going home and away they seemed very much the minority to me then
  8. zola wasn't on a free mind, parma sold hima and tino in fairly quick succession I had an outraged reply prepared but made a quick check on Wiki - my apologies, sir. You are correct. Been labouring under that misapprehension for a long time, so you’ve done me a favour think i remember it as it was quite a chunk of cash for a player of his age back then
  9. grown men should not be dressing up to go to sporting events under any circumstances
  10. just promote the auto places up in all leagues, play with more teams next season everyone knows +2 teams will be relegated when the season starts job done playoff teams can eat it
  11. zola wasn't on a free mind, parma sold hima and tino in fairly quick succession
  12. Good for Flintoff or good for Bruce? Flintoff was in a restaurant in Dubai and couldn't pay his bill so he looked around for someone he knew to help and he saw Bruce standing in a tracksuit, so he asked him and he payed his bill. Flintoff then invited Bruce and his wife to the grand opening of Jamie Olivers new Restaurant the next night as a thank you. They were sitting at a table and Oliver came over to speak to them and apparently swore, Bruce took offence to this and asked him not to swear in front of the women , Oliver thought he was joking and swore again. Bruce got mad and asked Oliver to leave .....his own party, Flintoff and his wife were howling with laughter and didn't see Oliver the rest of the night. that's pretty good tbf
  13. fine, sure i'm from the north east and ripon is pretty fucking close to me like but yeah lets split hairs
  14. the one thing i'd say about the "it's staveley or nothing for me" type posts is that at least she's from the region and has shown determination and willingness to get the club out of ashleys grubby paws feel like that deserves rewarding on some level personally and hope she succeeds on that basis
  15. People are so fucking thick these days man. Or maybe they always were but are now exposed to more stuff and can have their stupid fucking say on everything. That stuff with the widow the other day was astonishing. Just incredible.
  16. think a new gorund will be way down the list of priorities personally - how long has abramovich owned chelsea and they still haven't got their plans off the ground revamp all the corporate shit to rake in more money and a few years down the line if we're hot shit then get the stadium done
  17. Good for Flintoff or good for Bruce?
  18. extremely tedious and stupid No it's not, it's fair. he’s congratulating the team and its manager on winning the league ffs. And it’s a comically-poor attempt at a gotcha! moment. Wait so he's separating the football side of things from the ownership? Is that what you're saying?
  19. honestly think it's about my favourite bit of the entire MCU, fucking perfect
  20. so it'll be something like PL: can you do something about piracy shit lads? SAUDIS: PL: sound of approval stamp hitting the desk
