  1. agree with this, it's something we've been consistently shite at over the years...certain players can just adapt and step up when given the opportunity at the right time, we invariably let our kids rot too long in the reserves and when they don't turn into maldini after one game they're back to rotting away again until their contract runs out and they slide down the divisions not saying good is gonna make it, just that we need to start giving these kids a proper chance
  2. If this happens we might as well kiss next season good bye already as well. Mike has done enough for me to be considered a 4th or possibly even a 3rd CB for a club in the PL, but I still think he's way far off to be a starter in this league. i'm not saying this is my opinion, i'm saying the way club views things this may well be their opinion pardew rates him, he causes no bother, he's presumably cheap, he's english and he never gets injured knowing what we know and considering the other options to replace are taylor (shit perma-crock) and mbiwa (seems like pardew doesn't entirely trust him) then for me the likelihood is williamson might be one of our starting CB's next year if colo leaves
  3. all depends where they see the priority to spend () is of course, i'm just saying that of the 3 CB's we have on the books at the moment not inc. colo i'd imagine that williamson is the one most in tune with the manager and probably the one he trusts the most based on recent selection evidence they might decide to go with a williamson/mbiwa starting pair, with taylor and a bairn (or new) filling in when required
  4. i think williamson has played himself into first choice myself, doubt very much they have any plans to replace him
  5. with a bit of luck his life coach will know something about football and ask him (a) what the fuck he thinks he's doing to ben arfa and mbiwa, and (b) why he's such a fucking coward
  6. i've experienced the class thing like, even if it's not explicitly expressed as "we're classier marra" i've found most of them are falling over themselves to highlight examples of bad behaviour as proof we're all classless scum
  7. hope they make him pay the cost of all the hotel suites and video suite bollocks as well, they fucking should
  8. Would love to see us come from behind and win in the next game. Then win a few by going at the other team for 90 minutes. Never happen mind.
  9. aye, you can just imagine them bricking it at the thought of playing brighton in the 3rd round because the toon haven't won a cup in 40 years there's probably an argument that the pressure is now justifiably on pardew and he's consistently failing to cope with it, see the mackems games for more details
  10. Sunderland are your shot at the big time, otherwise you're doing ok working somewhere near the bottom of the football leagues. i guarantee if you earned your living playing football, even at a low level, the thought of knocking them back wouldn't enter your mind even if it was moving up one division or something met a few players, old mate from school was a lower division pro all his life, while they "support" teams they don't think of it like we do nor can they afford to
  11. they should impose a total humiliation on the prick as well when he comes back, like having to have an assessor with him in the technical area for XX amount of games to monitor his behaviour...this after insisting he goes to anger anonymous until the end of his ban, if such a thing exists that or make him stand in the technical area for the remaining mackems home games wearing a sandwich board saying he hates mackems like die hard 3, any reaction on his part and they withdraw his licence christ i really don't like pardew
  12. i think a better comparison pardew's case would be to look at our results when he doesn't have his first choices available across the competitions rather than just in the cups, that'd give you a more concrete idea of what the exact problem is imho and we all know the answer anyway
  13. you might not be wrong that fuckin game man and people are still not on board with him getting sacked
  14. Obviously. If it wasn't the case, our cup teams would sail through when called upon would they not? there's much more to it than that, as i've been saying
  15. Other clubs have more strength in depth as they have owners who spend money on players. Thus they have better results when resting first teamers. see i don't like this approach as it plays in the 'pardew can do nothing about it' viewpoint having to play youngsters or reserves is nothing new in football, he just can't get performances out of them when he needs to play them, it all comes back to pardiola in the end The squad is criminally under size and strength though. That isnt saying that if it wasn't Pardew wouldn't make a pigs cock of it. it's not like he's being asked to change 11 players out though is it? he fails at integrating a few changes every fucking time the man is a joke

  17. so you agree, he should have been sacked? glad we cleared that up
  18. beyond me how the mackems capitulations aren't first and foremost in the mind of every fan when they're considering our performances, i honestly can't understand how anyone could let it go for long enough...i'll never be happy now until pardew has gone for nothing other than what he's turned us into against them if we'd had a vastly inferior team full of shite i could maybe, maybe let it slide long enough to look past it, but the fact they've been in relegation shite the entire time while we've had our best group of players for a decade or so and they've still bent us over and reamed us is too much for me to take i'll never get over it until he's gone and we have a real manager who starts giving them a game again
  19. on the cup thing i think it's become very clear pardew is almost incapable of managing a squad beyond his favoured 11-12 players so when forced to bring in reserves or choosing to do so he's unable to integrate them effectively, and probably unable to motivate them as they'll know no matter what they do they're unlikely to change his opinion of them and break into the first team, see vurnon anita for more information this combined with what others have said about the club and manager telling anyone who'll listen that the cups aren't a priority etc. and you've got a recipe for abject shitness over a period of time the difference with other clubs, as i see it, is that while they may not privately prioritise the cups and may rotate their squads the majority of them have managers who are actually able to rotate players properly, thus the players coming in have something to prove and play accordingly at least from time to time makes dropping our better players vs. man city even more laughable tbh
  20. what the fuck is going on in here?
  21. hopefully they throw the fucking book at the prick, force ashley's hand to sack him

  23. in a one off game not played at SJP i'd fancy it, pardew could just play his favoured away game, keep it tight and hope remy does something home tie, would not be confident
