  1. Clearly the World Cup should stay with AFC, perhaps a staunch US ally from the region with recent experience in hosting this kind of tournament could step in... Aye, Japan all the way. Sick of shite no mark countries getting the nod Walked right into that one To be honest the Americans hate the Japanese. Seventy years after the war and the Japanese still buy adverts on TV channels in the states to try and show they are no longer the enemy. ...I'm pretty sure that's not true It's blatantly not true
  2. Oliver is regretting everything right now, and rightly so. Bud Light Lime... a fate worse than death.

  4. Seems connected to the Valcke document tbh. Seems like strange timing due to his will to stay on before the document was published.
  5. I think his initial thoughts regarding us was to have fun (see him among the fans and shit), but after his spectacular fuck up with Keegan he decided to just fully use us as a commerical engine for Sports Direct. I have very little doubt his running of us into the ground post-Keegan has been made out of spite due to fans hating him.
  6. Platini making a play for the presidency then?
  7. Got all of them. Last one was a total guess though. Other than number two (and eight) they were shit easy though, nailed number two through the process of elimination as Tevez was one of the below, so it was either Morata or Pique, leading me to just assume Pique had a shitter hair-do.
  8. Threw £15 at Stabæk -4 and Molde -2
  9. Why isn't that miracle worker heading up our search for a manager? I like to think he's out there right now, trawling the lower divisions of Eastern Europe to unearth some lump of coal who'll turn out to be the next Alex Ferguson. Wooster's canny, he even checked out my local team once a few years ago.

    Steve McClaren

I'd probably agree with this (assuming we won't actually bring in a top manager...). McClaren is not half as bad as most people on this forum seem to think he is, he's certainly better than Pardew. My main issue with McClaren is that by all accounts he'd be another yes man.
  11. The only major issue here, in my eyes, is that he asked Taylor to pass the phone to Jonas rather than calling Jonas separately. Informing them that their contracts would not be renewed is the job of the manager, just a shame that means the mumbling lickspittle Carver choosing the quickest and easiest way of doing so.
  12. I was at the game. Terrible conditions, I'm so fucking cold. At least there were some goals though. LA were shit, should have won it. It looked like nightmare conditions, surprised you bothered going.
  13. Galaxy fucked me over in the end. Ah well. C'est la vie.
  14. LA are so shit without Donovan. Just fucking hoofball all day towards Zardes, who's not a target man at all.
  15. Without exaggerating, the guy is probably the best player over there. Dominates. He's looked absolute shit in the three-four Sounders matches I've seen this season. Been a passenger in all of them and just fucking up when getting the ball.
  16. Any manager with self respect would walk if we fuck them over. I'm not even sure McClaren doesn't have enugh self-respect to walk if he gets fucked over. In this scenario we should just stay with John Carver in case we may end up with John Carver again.
  17. How on earth can you know that? What credentials does he have for you to be able to say that? As I've stated numerous times in this thread and the Vieira thread, I'm impressed by his work for Diembars and his accomplishments within youth development. An example being his revamping of Tromsø (through their relationship with Diembars) and Strømsgodsets (through their relationship with Man City) youth development programmes/teams. Both of which were among the worst in the country, and are now pretty much the best. I've no idea about what he'd do on a first team basis, but what I've heard about his time in charge of Man City EDS I'm somewhat enthused. This combined with the general consensus that he's supposed to become a great manager, and apparently have been considered for Man Citys first team, is also exciting. I don't know if the last parts will translate to something good, but given our options I'm very willing to take the risk. We're gonna appoint a manager before Ashley leaves, and maybe even more than once. We'll force ourselves to watch the team. Why not have some excitment from the unknown, if only for a short while?
  18. Vieira isn't a shit alternative though. He'd be a possible candidate even with proper options tbh. Naturally, said proper options and a proper appointment process would mean he'd not be number one in the queue. However I wouldn't find it weird if he was in it and was being considered as an alternative. We need new ownership. Whatever happens at the managerial post is pretty irrelevant as things stand. We don't have to be happy with Vieira as an appointed manager, but given our circumstances it'd not be bad. We are in desperate need of better circumstances though.
  19. Absolutely disgusting. Actually took the time to go report that.
