On paper Strømsgodset and Rosenborg are certain wins, and I have money on them. Both haven't had two good opening matches though, but it's bound to kick off at some point as the quality and depth difference in their squads (and molde's) compared to the rest of the league is immense. Bodø/Glimt at home should beat Sogndal. I actually have a big treble with these three on, so you'll lose if you follow it. I also have a quadruple with those three and Stabæk. http://s3-ec.buzzfed.com/static/2013-10/enhanced/webdr06/16/21/anigif_enhanced-buzz-5292-1381974742-6.gif I may have too much faith in Bob Bradley.

The dance will continue if Stabæk continues their run. http://s3-ec.buzzfed.com/static/2013-10/enhanced/webdr01/17/1/anigif_enhanced-buzz-8140-1381986438-6.gif Couldnt even find the game on bet365 bet365.com > sports > soccer > Norway > Tippeligaen > Stabaek v Molde http://s3-ec.buzzfed.com/static/2013-10/enhanced/webdr01/17/1/anigif_enhanced-buzz-25136-1381986724-13.gif

Think the financial situation under Ashley has been a lie repeated so much it's taken as truth. Looking at the numbers we're doing okay, but we should be doing fucking great.

Shame. Rösler > Wenger.

Think Cardiff will stay up. Of their remaining fixtures I can see a 2-1-1. Will rape us and Sunderland, be on an upper after their victory over Southampton today and possiby beat or draw against Stoke. Even if they go a 2-0-2 I think they'll stay up. The quality of Dæhli and Zaha have started to shine through and they'll be pivotal to them staying up. Sunderland might get points against West Brom and Swansea, which isn't enough at all. Norwich will lose their remaining fixtures, which means with my predictions Cardiff will leap frog them. Fulham are hard to call, could lose everything and could snatch wins. Swansea will get six points against us and Sunderland tbh. West Brom are hard to call as Fulham, could go bad and could go well. Villa are in freefall and have some hard, some (on paper) easy fixtures left. Could actually see them not get anymore points, but then again if they get a win they should be safe. I think Sunderland, Norwich and Fulham will be down.

Sunderland seem lost, and Norwich well up against it. But it's really tight down there with four games (for most teams) to go. Who do you think will go down?
-
:anguish: This place is nearly as depressing as the club. f***ing hell. I just don't understand how you don't get it. You don't get the fact that I didn't want NUFC to lose by a bigger margin? Fuck off, man. What is this I don't even
-
Actually think Cardiff will pull off a great escape now. Three free points against us after all.
-
Fuck it, £100 on Stabæk @ 3.85 Wouldn't reccomend following on that. Chasing my losses today, and while I think they'll continue to do better than expected they're up against one of the two title favourites (Molde) this time.

Hindsight's great for supporters, but if you own a football club then you don't want to be relying on hindsight to learn about your mistakes. Hall wanted Robson and Shepherd and Hall Jr. wanted Dalglish. John Hall was also talking up Martinez when he was relatively unknown at Swansea in League One. Shepherd went for Allardyce instead. Shepherd then also went on to hire Graeme Boumsong Souness and Michael £17m Owen during that era. Fuck knows what was going on there but it's difficult to avoid the suspicion that money was getting trousered by someone away from the camera. Other than that though, I will agree that Shepherd was at least answerable to the Newcastle fans and if someone was skimming off the top at least we still were allowed to dream. But like you say, hindsight's a wonderful thing. You say hindsight is a wonderful thing to use for supporters, yet you're just as guilty using it in your own post when using it to prove your own point. I dare say most people thought getting Michael Owen in his supposed prime, snatching him in front of Liverpool, was a great buy. It's only in hindsight you can say Owen was a piece of shit and we wasted so much fucking money.

Fulham. Fuck Norwich. Sunderland are down anyways.

FIFA wants Mourinho to showdown with his old club. Think they'll make Real - Chelsea happen in the final. I hate it when people write stuff like this. Last season "they" supposedly wanted a Real - Barca final. Look how that turned out. http://bluechampions.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Drogba.jpg

Hardly think you can compare that Fulham to this one. Was reffering more to the stature of the club in recent times as an example of teams from the lower end of the premier league not competing well in europe (they finished 12th the season they reached the EL final), not the current players playing for it. Even then their players weren't that good though, compared to the Juventus side they knocked out for one.
-
He appointed him man. He appointed pretty much all the managers he sacked.
-
£25 on Stoke -2 @ 8.00
-
Especially since one of the example clubs have actually recently-ish been in an EL final as well.
-
Not making it better.
-
I could, tbf. Zenit is wank. Besides that your point stands though.
-
Yeah, seems startling how many don't realize it's mostly a discussion regarding who would be better for the club if given a choice between Shepherd or Ashley. Not a discussion about who you'd want as an owner instead of Ashley and people saying they want Shepherd.

Fucking Juve ruining my bets.
