I've watched it over and over again both in real time and slow-mo, and I still don't see what the big deal is. Pedersen is a pussyclart, but we all knew that already.

Regardless, both assistants would have to have been blind and not doing their job (watching the game) if they didn't see it as they should clearly be looking towards the action. Also, it's clear from the replays that it's Pedersen that starts it. At most it should've been a yellow for both. Pedersen bodychecks Barton (rather roughly) for no good reason when the ball isn't even in play, except Barton isn't a pussy bumblacart to throw himself down for nothing like Pedersen enjoys.

Nothing to do with it being Joey Barton, from the two replays I saw he looked to have punched Pedersen in the gut. Now Pedersen was a fucking fanny for going down but it was a stupid thing for Barton to do. As I've said, if you watch it in slow-motion you'll find it's an open hand "push". Not a fist, not a finger poke, it's a flat open hand. Nothing near a punch, and Gamst overreacts to try to get Barton sent off. Simples.
