Our Saudi friends are going to give them a stupid fee for Nunez so it would never happen. Hypothetically though, I’d take Nunez as a Wilson replacement, so that would mean dropping our interest in Wissa, and we would still need an Isak replacement. I’d consider it but I wouldn’t be biting their hand off.

We finished above them 2 seasons ago and there’s no guarantee their success last season will continue. Ekitike and Wirtz might not be great, and we’ll have to see how Slot does with his own team. They’re getting a lot of hype but there’s questions IMO. If we got our business done this summer then we’d be a genuine threat to the top 4.

The frustrating thing is it seems this will hold everything else up. If we can’t pursue multiple players at once then we need quick decisions and hard deadlines.

Depends if they can get Isak to extend his strike to competitive games. If he’s still here at the start of the season and not playing then we’ll have a decision to make.

I think their gameplan is to make it impossible for Isak to stay here so the price can be driven down to around 120m, or as much as possible. They’ll be talking to Isak saying we’ve been completely unreasonable and are refusing to negotiate.

They haven’t pulled out, that’s just what they’re briefing these Twitter wankers that are on their payroll.

We should have a CB budget, a CM budget, and a Wilson replacement budget. Isak’s replacement can pay for themselves, if they agree a deal with Liverpool, then line up his replacement so that both deals can go through at the same time. Maybe that’s oversimplifying things but I don’t think this would stop a competent team.

If our next 2 targets are Strand Larsen and Watkins then we’re fucked. We’re the most direct rival Villa have and Wolves are dead without Strand Larsen. Neither would happen.

I would probably do it for £150m if we could get Jackson for a reasonable fee. It’s a shame they bought the player we wanted as a replacement, it made things a lot more complicated.

Wolves attack is reliant on Strand Larsen at this point, trying to go for him in August would be utterly braindead. Not getting a CB would be utterly brain dead as well.
