    Scott McTominay

I’d take McTominay if it was for similar money and wages to Burn, Pope, and Targett tbh.
  2. If you said at the start of the season Man City will win the league and get to the CL and FA cup finals, no one would bat an eyelid because it’s seen as standard. It’s a lazy choice. These awards don’t matter though, I doubt Guardiola and Eddie care if they win or lose it.
  3. When it comes to British players (we do need them in the squad) I’d rather go for young guys that are ready to make the step up, like Brennan Johnson, Gibbs-White, Alex Scott, over guys that have had a chance at a top club already, then not looked good enough and found themselves on the “get rid” list (Gallagher and McTominay).
  4. To me Gallagher has shown more in the past than McTominay, although he did always look poor this season. It’s the English premium that’s really offputting. It’ll be £40m+ and 100k per week on someone that might not merit going straight into the first team.
  5. But even if we get big revenue, it doesn’t mean we should join their voting block, and nor should we. Those clubs tried to get a veto on the rest of the leagues takeovers, it was an attempt to kill off future competition. We should never aspire to be like that.
  6. People don’t full understand what the big 6 is. It’s a voting block that conspired together to try to take over the league with project big picture. It’s an evil little elitist club that I hope we never join. Being good or successful doesn’t necessarily make you part of that block.
  7. Selling Bruno doesn’t even come into my thinking. If we get him the help he needs this summer, meaning another technical midfielder, more creativity on the wings, and a better outlet at LB, he can kick on and go up another level. Selling him is small time poppycock.

I would expect McTominay to cost £30m and be on over 100k a week.

    It’s a football forum though.

I’ve seen McTominay play dozens of times and I’ve never seen anything in him. Franz Beckenbauer could come out as a big fan of his and it wouldn’t put a dent in my opinion.
  11. Technically he’s nowhere near what I would want from a midfielder. Any competition for him would likely come from bottom half sides. It’s not like he’s even Longstaff + goals and assists, because he has no end product.
  12. Enciso is going to be a big player.
  13. Why bother celebrating that. It was basically a try.
  14. Paqueta is stuck at West Ham, no one will pay the money necessary to get him out and he will spend most of his prime years there. It was always a horrible career move.
  15. Midfielders that are as good as Bruno and with his all round skill set are pretty rare these days. He’s a throw back.
  16. Imagine not wanting to see Feyenoord in the CL. The boy is a philistine.
  17. I find it funny that a fanbase and club that prides itself on being working class and anti-establishment, basically acts like a bunch of entitled nepo babies every time something doesn’t go their way.

They’re the football equivalent to QAnon. How can they possibly believe they’re treated poorly.
  19. There’s no way Man City can allow this.
  20. That’s what he said he was doing next when he left Sky. Silly Sally.
  21. To be fair winning the 3rd title in Spurs entire history would be a big deal.
  22. This game is as honking as I expected it to be.
  23. Wilson can still get good numbers for 2-3 years IMO as long as he's rotated and managed carefully. We're also very unlikely to find a better goalscorer without spending a fuck ton, and even then it would be no guarantee.
