Sesko I’m not even thinking about. Jackson is possible and is probably the surest thing we can get to replace Isak’s goals, but we’ll have to overpay. If we sell Isak before a replacement is lined up, massively overpaying for Jackson might be necessary.

Emery doesn’t seem to like Watkins much, I don’t get it.
-
Any wage we offered would be topped, that’s the position we’re in. Same goes for transfer fees. We can’t compete like that with the ESL clubs.
-
Sounds like *insert ESL club* better put a bid in quickly if they want to get him.
-
The question isn’t whether we’ll sell Isak, he will be sold. The question is the timing. He has 3 years left, we’re late in the window, and we’re unable to get a proper replacement. If we wait until next summer maybe his value will be knocked slightly, on the other hand maybe there will be more competition to drive up the price. It seems that the interests of the club are best served by telling Isak we’ll sell next summer, if he plays well he’ll have plenty of choice.
-
He’s supposedly on about 100k. Tbh I think he’s probably the best we could do in terms of replacing Isak’s goals, but the price is impossible to meet. It’s designed solely for PIF Saudi league clubs.

I don’t see the urgency to sell. Players have had to stay a season or more at a club after deciding they want to leave plenty of times, including Suarez and Gerrard at Liverpool. Obviously we shouldn’t threaten a players family as Liverpool fans did with Gerrard though. We’re not getting a suitable replacement IMO (Sesko won’t happen), and Liverpool won’t bid enough (they haven’t even bid at all yet and are clearly desperate to drive the price down). Isak and Liverpool fucked this by leaving it so late in the window and by buying our replacement. So IMO they should have to wait until next summer.

Buy his teammate Openda before Man U get a bid for Sesko accepted. Sesko was always a waste of time for us.

It would be pretty funny if they managed to fail with this one.

Paqueta is pretty good tbf.

It’s not even Ramsdale that aggravates me, he was a prospect at one point and if Howe rates him and wants to give him a go then fair enough. My problem is we seem to be purposely cutting ourselves off from most of the young talent in Europe. With our transfer policy we won’t get the next Salah, De Bruyne, or Saliba, our competitors will.
-
He’s an ok keeper, just not the long term Pope replacement we thought we wanted, unless Howe does a Joelinton/Murphy job on him.

Jackson had been doing pretty well at Chelsea until the second half of last season, he turned to shit and I think Chelsea’s slow paced football was partly to blame. Our style combined with Eddie’s coaching could make him a big success. The money Chelsea are demanding is insane though, I would be thinking 50+10 based on him being a success. It’s a bit of a nonstarter really.
-
I’m one of the few people that actually rates Jackson, but their valuation is pure Saudi bait.
-
I think at least 5 of those would cost more than that and at least 2 of them would have no interest in coming here IMO.

Nickson is probably the only one in the room that has heard of Kessie and he will be sat in the corner being called a hipster. “You play too much football manager Steve”.
-
I can believe we’re interested because we seem to pick targets like a kid playing football manager for the first time. I don’t think there’s any chance we’ll sign him though and think his agent will just use and abuse us.

Cesar Tarrega. All 3 of those sounded great, but I felt the links were a bit weak and I’d be a bit surprised if we went foreign.
