If true then that list is embarrassing. We’re not getting Jackson or Watkins, and Sesko is very unlikely.

It’s becoming pretty clear that selling Isak in this window isn’t an option. If Liverpool wanted him they should’ve left Ekitike alone.

The agent and Liverpool IMO. People forget that model pro Van Dijk went on strike to get his Liverpool move. They’re probably trying the same play.

I do think Isak has timed this all wrong, it should’ve either been after last season ended or at the end of next season. As it is only one club appears interested and it’s unclear whether they’ll stump up the fee. He must have a deal in mind for if he stays, maybe a new contract with a 120m release clause to foreign clubs next summer?

My hope is that PSG come in for him, they have the money and there’s space for him there. They’ve spent nothing this summer.

It sounds like Al-Hilal are more likely to buy Nunez to fund Liverpool’s Isak bid. These PIF clubs aren’t our allies.

I’m a bit concerned we’re going to be used to lure in bids from other clubs and end up with nothing. His teammate Openda is probably more realistic and could fit our playing style.

Guehi probably cares about his Palace legacy and how he’ll be remembered. When he’s retired he’ll probably feel a lot of affection for Palace and he’ll consider them one of his teams. Some players go from club to club not caring about such things, I think that is Isak. I’m not saying it’s right or wrong, but people have different priorities.

We don’t even get bids accepted tbh. Getting as far as players having to turn us down would be progress.

I’m looking forward to the all the threads created for players we’ve failed to sign being bumped all season.

I bet our transfers office is in absolute chaos. I can see striker scouting reports strewn all over the floor, the defender scouting reports sitting in a giant untouched pile, frantic phone calls asking the bosses secretary if she can ask him if we can raise the Wissa bid by a few million. Someone panicking because we need a midfielder as well and it hadn’t come up in any of the teams calls.

Are we actually still confident there are active stadium plans? Is it not plausible that they explored the options, didn’t really fancy any of them, and decided to put it on a shelf?

As far as I’m concerned we have a year to find a buyer. If no one offers a reasonable fee this summer then I can’t see how he can blame the club.

Probably, but at least it will piss everyone off and it gets us used to him not playing for us.

I can live with a sale to Saudi if he really wants to leave.

I would like Wissa, i think he could replace Wilson’s goals pretty well for a few seasons. I doubt they'll be stubborn about 40+5 and I’m sure our maximum will be a bit lower. I suppose I don’t really get why this bidding process takes so long, and given we seem to go after one player at a time, we can’t afford another saga where we end up with nothing. Transfers are mysterious to me.
