  1. I’m not complaining about a red, you get them for less than that in today’s game. That said, he was knocked off balance and was trying to shield the ball, it’s something that could happen to anyone. Unlucky more than anything IMO.
  2. How can it be depressing to watch one of the ESL 6 becoming one of the worst things imaginable, a filler club.

    Joe Willock

It’s just media trained nonsense, the same answers would be given regardless of the club or manager.
  4. I swear since Leeds got promoted I’ve seen Bielsa getting criticised in the media more than our sad sack of a manager. Way way more in fact.
  5. Tbh I respect his stupid opinion more than the twats that think Bruce is good enough for us but no one else.
  6. Stating the obvious but we’re going to concede so fucking many this season. The memories of Rafa’s drills are fingerprints on an abandoned handrail, as Bob Mortimer would put it.
  7. I want him to fail tbh. I like him, but not that much, he’s not Keegan or Robson level. I’d like him to leave Everton ASAP and go manage in a country where I can comfortably wish him well.
  8. I think the Sky cameras are going to follow Brentford’s manager home.
  9. Pickford was all over the place against Denmark. We’re lucky it didn’t end up costing us.
  10. Ultimately it's his life and his talent to do what he wants with. As a football fan the idea of going back to Argentina or going for a real challenge is romantic, but he probably feels he's challenged himself enough at club level, and perhaps he see's playing in Europe's 5th best league as better preparation for the world cup next year than coming to the premier league, which might end up being a mistake. It would have been great to see him go to Serie A to haunt Ronaldo, but they're all pretty broke. I found it interesting that it was only a 2 year deal, I expect he could've got 1 or 2 more years, but 2 years just takes him past the world cup. I reckon this is his last contract.
  11. I can’t imagine Man City would be bothering with Grealish if they were in for Messi.
  12. That guy knew exactly what he was doing.
  13. They just have to find a way to square it with the broadcasters and they'll be fine. They've already negotiated a weak future fine with the premier league for the next time they try.
  14. I find it funny you think the ESL idea is finished.
  15. Exactly, the game got saved and the Hobbits went back to the shire.
  16. I don’t understand the situation at Arsenal. I was under the impression they’ve been making a loss in recent years, and that their owner is tight and uninterested. But after covid and another year of no CL football they’re spending big.
  17. I suspect there’s a correlation between people that believe that and people that believed Henry Mauriss was legit.
  18. I’m not sure what to make of Grealish. I think he’s a good player that people have gone increasingly mental about over the summer. Sometimes the longer we go without watching someone the better they get. At the Euros you would think we had Ronaldinho on the bench the way people were talking. Guardiola will improve him as a player, but the standard at that club is will he be world class, and I doubt that. I also think Man City could get just as good abroad for a lot less money, but then money doesn’t matter to these clubs so why even debate whether he’s worth the fee? He could cost another £50m and it wouldn’t make them sweat.
  19. Jamie O’Hara is easily the worst pundit out there. He lacks basic knowledge about the game.
  20. Is the fart real or has it been dubbed in? Utter filth if it’s legit.
  21. To be fair they’ve actually taken some action, rather than continuing to play him like those abominations down the road.
  22. It’s a shame just because I wanted to see the haters in the media upset, and there is obvious corruption going on here, but I was never really sold on Saudi ownership and I’m not sure the sport as a whole is worth me increasing my interest. The sport is bought and paid for. Fans are just customers to the clubs, leagues and broadcasters, there to be milked, patronised, then told to fuck off. Everyone knows it deep down, it’s why everyone is so fucking bitter. Even ESL fans, that on the face of it get everything everyone else wants, are miserable because of it.
  23. I thought Arsenal were making quite large losses every season.
  24. These interviews don't come across as confidence in the arbitration ruling to me. They feel like a last ditch attempt to influence something. I hope I'm wrong.
  25. Leaving AC Milan and Serie A for PSG
