    Miguel Almirón

He should hand in a transfer request and try to get out this January. Only the window lickers would hold it against him.
  2. I fully expect England players to be reminded of the war before we play Germany. Maybe a round of 10 German bombers to raise moral.
  3. So people are pretending Beckham wasn’t a punchbag for the press for 10+ years? No England player has ever been more hated by them.
  4. Just seen that tweet of Cameron Jerome complaining that he's given a "harsh ride" up here. I've said it before, but......... there's no crowd!!! Plus the media are always calling him a good manager. So what are we talking about? Forums and twitter? Where is this awful treatment of Bruce actually coming from?
  5. Chris Kirkland once said he would pick “Unsy” (David Unsworth) over Diego Simeone for Everton manager. Live on Sky sports as well, not wasted in a bar.

    England

Imagine if it was Pickford’s doing.
  7. I find the complaints about the schedule a bit absurd. They refuse to properly use their massive expensive squads, their execs want more and more games on the schedule for financial reasons (the further away the better), yet it’s all the premier leagues fault? As far as I’m aware the premier league hasn’t ever increased in size, the CL on the other hand has, but that is never a problem.
  8. Sterling should’ve buried that
  9. Man City can do better than Walker.
  10. That was like prime Maldini from Lascelles. Such a clean tackle.
  11. Agree on Carvalho, he was no worse than Terry. Gallas was a great player as well.
  12. Giggs just seems like a very odd human being to me. He seems to have no personality or warmth, is completely amoral, and he has those dead eyes that don’t blink.
  13. Roy Keane never has anything to say about tactics. Do any of Ferguson’s old players actually believe in tactics? It makes me wonder wtf he was saying to them behind closed doors.
  14. The guy is doing a horrendous job of selling this nonsense.
  15. When players go to the super league they will be stuck there, which does happen now to an extent with players stuck at rich clubs on big contracts, but it will obviously be more extreme. Maybe with the reduced revenue clubs will be forced to be less reliant on transfers and dodgy agents, a situation which is completely out of control. There will be a standard of player which is pretty much off limits to the premier league, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the competition will be worse off overall IMO. The frustrating part would be being used as feeder clubs for the super league, but again that is already happening to an extent.
  16. The vast majority of us won’t be involved though. There’s no reason why the premier league and football pyramid couldn’t continue in their current format, and we could still have a European cup for teams not in the closed shop super league. The only problem would be a large reduction in TV revenue leading to a few years of cost cutting. I’m not opposed to it at all, as long as those taking part are expelled from the premier league and are made to start from the bottom if they want to rejoin.
  17. I can just picture Steve walking his asthmatic Bulldog round the field.
  18. He even got humped 9-0 and stuck with what he was trying to do. Bruce would just think "have to play more defenders in future".
  19. How can anyone watch Ralph Hasenhuttl's side, then watch Steve Bruce's mob, and think he's a good manager? There's no reason for Southampton to be that much better than us, other than the manager.
  20. I expect Luke told him Henry Mauriss travels by private jet, not sledge.
  21. Bad luck, we had done so well to murder the game up to that point.
  22. Toney is probably going to go for £30m next summer.
  23. But there would be no promotion to the top league, they want a closed shop where their investment is safe. If you look at the NFL every franchise is worth billions, they probably think they can top NFL values if they get the setup right.
  24. The idea of this new league running alongside the domestic league is very very cheeky. They would only be staying in the domestic league for a few years to hedge their bets in case it doesn’t work out, with the aim being to drop the premier league. If this actually happens then any teams taking part should absolutely be expelled from domestic competitions, and if they ever want back in they should have to start again at the bottom of the pyramid.
