Luke Edwards is a cunt

Everton are they only ones we can compare to ahead of us, including all their ringers.
-
Or both? aye, certainly. But the lack of ambition in the leadership of the club is right f***ing me off. That 3-1 win yesterday was easily the least ive enjoyed such a big win away in about 40 years. s*** second half- but even before that, it felt completely empty and pointless. Everton are very clearly trying to achieve things of substance. They might not succeed but at least they are genuinely trying and believing in themselves. Is Bill fucking Kenwright really that much more ambitious than Ashley? I'd love to see a comparison of transfer fees and wages ect. I'd say there's a decent chance we spend more on transfers and wages than Everton - at the very least there would not be much between us. They are absolutely milking the loan system though. And it's almost certain that at least 2 of the 3 will not play for them beyond this season, so it's not exactly a long term strategy.

Ultimately it's a collective fault. From the top, Ashley's model necessitates the signing of players mostly based on resale value and doesn't really look at how they will fit into a team or mesh with what we've got. Then you come onto Pards, whose naturally cautious mentality negates a couple of our technically gifted players, as they don't fit the style or team formation. But I think it's quite commendable that with basically a hodgepodge of players given to him that he has fashioned a team capable of winning games, be it playing the 4-4-2 shola way or the more recent 4-5-1 Cabaye way. Looking at the dross in charge of most of the bottom half premier league teams, sacking him would be a huge mistake.

Ba did well obviously, but it was pretty clearly to the detriment of the team, it's what started Cisse's current life shitness. Of course, that can also be aimed at the manager as he should have just shunted Ba to the left when it was pretty obvious he was gunna f*** off anyway. Ba left in January last year though. I don't think you can blame the Ba factor for Cisse being shite over two halves of a season. Getting shunted to the wing in that horrible team/formation basically left him shot of all confidence. Add to the fact he's a pretty poor 'footballer' anyway and he hasn't been able to regain what he had for those first 6 months.

When I play, obviously happy when my team scores, but would describe it is mildly satisfied. However when we concede, there is just a level of fury at letting them score. Defender's mentality and probably sticks with managers that were defenders during their careers.

Agreed, like it was Pellegrini's fault the goal wasn't given. Pardew is an embarrassment. Lucky you didn't support Man U during the Fergie years then, you'd have been mortified by the behaviour of your manager. Fergie ever called a fellow manager an "old c***" ? No but he had his teams go at ref on mass so they couldn't be sent off. Often screamed in ref's faces in their changing room. Just a big of a c*** like. I'll reiterate what I said at the time it'll be commonplace amongst managers (and with the likes of Fergie, it's not surprise). It just so happens that Pardew was caught saying it with a camera fixed on him at the time. Who's to say what Pellegrini said to him? It doesn't justify it but he shouldn't be vindicated as if he's the first ever manager to swear. Nothing to do with swearing, it's the disrespect he shown to an older respected fellow professional. Probably some xenophobic angst expressed through the little outburst. Imagine Pardew was not our manager and that wasn't Pellergrini on the receiving end but some well respected gentleman like Keegan or Sir Bobby. This place will be in uproar. With what Pellegrini came out and said after the game he lost all respect really. Wouldn't be surprised if he said something worse to kick it off.

As a defender, 2-0. Fucking hate conceding.
-
The way we played in the first half was up there with the best under Pardew. Actually penetrative rather than pointlessly passing it around in the vague hope that the media will judge you as 'attractive'. Then he goes and Shola's the whole thing and we are lucky to hold on. Typical.
-
Saying that, I'm guessing the first half was what he meant when giving that 'front foot fastball' spiel.
-
Always helps when the fat cunt on the opposition bench is even worse.
-
Marveaux is such a frustrating case of talent vs application. If he tries something that doesn't work/ the attack breaks down the first thing he does is throw his hands up in the air and stand about in a strop. I wouldn't want someone in my team that consistently did that.
-
Has anyone tried to compare Pardew's style with that of Atletico yet? Not that I think they are particularly similar.
-
If they do that, I'd send out another press statement like we did with Haidara last year, pointing to the press looking for any excuse to overlook the blatant match fixing from an official in favour of one of the media darling/cash rich teams. Cunts.
-
The subs were wrong but whatever. I could certainly never be a premier league manager, would have fines coming out of pretty much every orifice.
-
Disgusting really. Mike Jones should be sent on a referee exchange to Iraq for a few weeks, can pay for his own plane ticket with the bribe money too. In all seriousness, why is it not compulsory for referees to speak to the media? Or at least put out some sort of written statement, just so we as paying viewers could actually begin to have some idea what goes through these people's minds? On the game we played well, taking Anita off was stupid as he was starting all of our attacks. Mapou was clearly just trying to stop a quick counter attack, just because it's cynical shouldn't make it a red. Oh and from his behaviour/post match comments, Manuel Pellegrini is without doubt an old cunt.

Loved Jonas, especially during that Championship season. Not so much a diver as very good at initiating contact.
-
It was utter shit, as it is at Norwich now. Good man, but enough of this garbage. It wasn't shit, it made best use of the best players we had at the time.
-
It just annoys me when I see 'intent' branded about. There is no intent to hurt the player with 99% of tackles, what there is, is a player that wants to win the ball back for his team. It was just unfortunate the ball happened to be bouncing and was just out of reach. Is it a red card? Yes Is it stupid? Yes Was there intent to hurt hum? No
-
That wouldn't be cleanly though? I'm not arguing that it isn't a red card, let me make that clear!
-
They're not. The 'intent' rule is a load of shit. When the ball is won first, and cleanly it should not be a foul, regardless of the tackle.
-
The rules are wrong, but they are rules. Idiotic.
