Our last away game suggests otherwise. That's a fair point, but a small sample size against a Man U team who have a very average (at best) midfield, and a clear confidence/adaptation issue under Moyes.

Cabaye has more than one Newcastle go to his name and is a much more complete player than Tiote though. A move towards a more possession orientated style would suite Anita more than it would Tiote hence why I'd personally drop Tiote A possession style doesn't really suit anyone else though... I think it does, it just doesn't suit our manager. After all if Swansea can make it work with the likes of Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge I see no reason why we couldn't. Krul Debuchy Williamson Colo Santon Sissoko Tiote Cabaye Gouffran HBA Remy Reasoning: MYM and Colo really just doesn't work as a partnership, also Haidara/Dummett close to challenging Santon's spot (still think he should be a right back). As good as Anita is, he is suited to a possesion based team whereas most of our other players are more suited to more direct, counter attacking football. I don't think Gouff is as effective in the middle where he can get dominated by a Shawcross style of centre back (this is more due to the long punts he's likely to have fired towards his head but whatever). Hatem as a second striker clearly carries the same risks of dreadful hoofball, but I think he's clever enough to drop off and come looking for the ball deeper. The workrate of the wingers (and Remy tbf) means you could almost give him a free no.10 role.

His best qualities are his pace and work rate, making him a much better fit for what Pardew tries to do than say Ben Arfa. Saying that, his all round game and qualities have been very good during this run. What a bargain for £500,000 too.

We came to counter but our organisation and energy was crap, cue a formation change after 12 minutes. They had the majority of possession but looked largely toothless until Krul made a poor clearance and our sleepy defenders didn't react to Dyer standing alone in the box. We came out well enough in the second but were far too open, they looked dangerous on the counter and got a flukey goal out of it. Our heads dropped completely, mix that in with some daft subs and you've got a third goal, which Krul could've done better with. Our lot looked generally sluggish on the night and our gameplan after going behind was a load of shit. This is pretty much spot on
