I don't think Owen will get it either. Maybe if he signs a new 4-5 years contract withouth the clause he would, but I don't think he'd be a good captain. My favorite would be Butt, but I don't think he will start every game. Then I think of Solano, but he will also not play every match. I don't think Barton should get it yet, maybe when/if he has calmed down. The only two candidates left would be Taylor or Given, but Taylor is to young IMO and somehow I don't think it would be ideall with a keeper as captain. So maybe Emre could, or maybe maybe Martins, though I have my doubts on wether is should be captain. Perhaps Rozenhal is a good captain? I'd bet my money on someone new. why are you talking about who's going to be captain now we have new information? this is an irrelevent discussion! /cat fondling mod I'd like to see you as a mod, since you think they are so bad. That would be fucking hilarious! In the end you would probably be the only one left who is not banned...

I suspect Shorey is a one-season-wonder. Doubt he will be as good next season.

Aldo Duscher arrives on trial - and promptly leaves?

My guess is that Sam don't want to spend so much money this summer, but enough to get us to Europe, and save it up to next summer. -
Maybe dominating was the wrong word... But it did sound/see like you ''said'' anything like that... My point was really that you say you Canadians tend to underrate your players, while you are overrating them. Anyways fuck it. Lets talk about wether Hutchinson comes or not...

I remember that too. I think it was a joke though.

Is that site selling his wedding-pics? Who the fuck wants to buy his wedding-pics? I like they guy, its not that, i would say the same if it was Emre or someone, but why would anyone want that? Nice girl BTW. She shouldn't have her hair so tight to her head, she should have it louse, that is nicest. And just after curiosity, what does people have against fake tits? I know a lot of guys don't like that. But I like it and can't understand why anyone wouldn't...
-
When I read your posts I see this is bullshit... Underrating my arse. You do know that it is UNDERrating that means you think a player is worse than he is, and that OVERrating is the opposite? Seriously. Guzman as good as Xavi and Ronaldinho, and Hutchinson nearly as good as him? Occean dominating the Norwegian Premier League? I am even starting to doubt De Rosario is as good as you say...

A lot more... All his posts are like that

And when he sent the same SMS to all the Norwegian celebrity-women and asked them out. That was fucking hilarious! This is what he wrote (translated of course): ''Hi. After a lot of calling and after using a lot of my contacts, I finally got your number. I have always thought that you are charming, sexy and stuff, but of course: you seem very exciting. I hope we can get in thouch, and I will of course ask you out for a romantic dinner for two. Kisses from John Arne Riise xxx.'' Only he wrote it with a lot of spelling errors.

Totally agree. And when he finally gets the ball up front, he just whacks it against the goal as hard as he can. Can't really remeber last time he put a cross in... I agree with my fellow Norwegians (?) here... I'd take Heinze, but I'd much rather have Baines or Bridge.

Well, he is not THAT good. I am not sure about this season, but last season he spent a lot of time on the bench. He was damn good for Odd Grenland though, before a year and a half from now. I doubt that anyone would say no to Pompey and Blackburn to play for Houston... My experience is that nort-americans tend to overrate their players a lot. I remember last summer in Switzerland when I spoke with an american during the WC-finale. He talked about McBride and Reyna like some of the big stars in England. When I told them both were s**** he just looked at me in a weird way. Donovan and Johnson to. We talked about how the MLF (or what the f***) is compared to english PL. He said that the english top-6 teams were way better then the american, but then it started to even out. Imagine what he'd say about their league now that they have attracted a player like Beckham. I am not saying that all north-americans don't have a clue about football, mind. Not that anyone here doese'nt either... I dont make the rumours man just saying and Occean is on top form for Lillestrom right now top of the league in scoring last time I checked which is why rumours are popping up. As for De Rosario it is a fact he turned down Blackburn who tabled a 2 million bid for him he is the best player in the MLS. I know an English fan may find it hard to believe that he didnt want to go to europe but last time he was in europe there was alot of racism towards him and he loves dominating the MLS. And have you seen his goals ooo boy..... talk about a human highlight reel And please do not compare Canadian fans to American fans.... PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT. We dont rate our players at all, alot of fans underate them in fact Check this out: http://www.canadian-soccer.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=2 Read the last sentence in my post. I didn't mean anything as critism towards you or anyone else. I don't know if you thought so, but that is how I understood it. BTW, Occean is not in his top form for Lillestrøm right now. I can name at least six or seven strikers that are better than him in Norway right now. And twice as much other players. But when he played for Odd Grendland, he was really good. At least top three of the strikers in Norway, maybe THE best striker in Norway as well. But when he went to Lillestrom things changed and he sat on the bench a lot, and sometimes he was not even in the squad (though that had more to do with the limit of non-eu players you can have in your squad in Norway). Now he is performing better, and is regular for Lillestrom, but he is not as good as in Odd Grendland, and he is certainly not the most-scoring forward at the moment. But with that said, he was a really really good player when he was in Odd. (At least after Norwegian and Canadian standards). We wasn't really ''properly'' linked with him, were we? I thought it was just something that came up before the Lillestrom-game, and that it just was some bullshit from a Norwegian paper or anything. But we were linked with Mifsud and Koren from Lillestrom. Though I might be wrong, it is a long time ago.

I think I would rank Olivier Occean over De Rosario. Not that I have seen many matches with Rosario though... One, maybe two.
-
I doubt we are interested in him now. In every article about him in the norwegian newspapers they mention that we are interested, even though it has been quite quiet since last time we actually were linked to him...

Been offered Deco and enquired about Eto'o...according to The Journal.

He might just have turned us down. -
Not that I want Silvestre here or anything, but I have got a mate who supports ManU. He said that Silvestre wasn't on their team picture. So he is sure to leave them.

It was fucking Wikipedia who said £23m. Probably bullshit, but while we are linked to him or eventually buy him, I am sure some people will complain and whine about spending£23m on him, because they read it once on Wikipedia. Even if we get him for 10. -
I can't see anything about it on their web-sites. Has it been on the TV? If it even is true of course, which I doubt.
-
I thouht we were linked with Drente for a while ago? I might be wrong, but anyways it is not like we will get him if Barca and Real really are interested.
-
He is not as good as DM as CB. Much better at CB IMO. BTW he was at trial at Everton and HSV one or two years ago. He is a big gamble IMO. I have the feeling that he would either flop or be mint for us.
-
This can only mean he is on his way to us!
-
Well, I see now I should have written different. He is GOOD after Norwegian standards. He is THE best Norwegian CB IMO. And Panzer-Hagen is second. TBH I don't follow Tippeligaen so close. Too low level. Though i support Viking FK, and partly 3. divisions (League 2 with lower level) Chelsea, Randaberg. Of the good players in the Norwegian top divison I can mention Kristoffer Hæstad (sorry for that letter), Marius Johnsen, Thorstein Helstad, Daniel Braathen on his good days, Alexander Ødegaard in his latest form and Sogndal-form and Per Ciljan Skjelbreid (Newcastle-fan as well) in a few years. That is those I can think of quickly, but IMO no one of these are anything for us. Maybe Skjelbreid, and loan him first a season to Rosenborg or any other Norwegian teams, then a year in the Championship, and then he can become our midfield-star . Maybe Hæstad and Braathen can become good players as well, but we saw how fantastic Hæstad was for Wigan so I wouldn't expect any of them to be good before a couple of years. I have probalby forgotten someone (not Andresen and Iversen mind ). The foreigners are better, Peter Ijeh, Edu for instance. Actually I think we should look at other countries than Norway. But Edu could be major!
-
BTW. I don't think there is anything in this. When I read this this mornig in a Norwegian paper, it said ''says VG(a norwegian paper)''... And why should VG know anything about what is going on between an English and Danish club before any others? They are usually several days late with rumors about transfer and shit. Would be typical Norwegian papers to just make it up because they don't have anything else to write as well. Like today Viking is playing against Vaalerenga and they wrote about how good Carew was for 7-8 years ago in the same match...
-
No please... Not good enough IMO. He is very overrated here in Norway. The fact that he is Norwegian makes him overrated here... Just because he is decent (after norwegian standards) people think he is mint... He is good enough for a mid-table-team like Wigan, Fulham, Reading etc. or for a mid-table german team, but not a team with our aims. Not the player to get us in the top 6. But when he moved from his (and mine ) youth-club Vidar to ''our'' local ''top''-club Viking I didnt think he could play at that level (two or three divisions difference) at once, but he did. And as I think someone said, maybe Sam could get something good out of him. Sam, I have seen him more than you. I doubt he is good enough. But who knows? Maybe he could be a new Henning Berg or Ronny Johnsen (not while he played for us mind).
