  1. Jol is overrated. He's better at certain aspects of management than Pardew, but he gets a lot of good press because he's such a likeable personality. He's got that Fulham team under-performing, they should be nowhere near the relegation scrap and have been on some woeful runs of form. I'd still take him (and see him as an upgrade) but would ultimately think he's still not good enough.
  2. I think they want Moyes because he'll learn off Ferguson without making the slightest peep in terms of wanting to stamp his own authority on the club. Effectively he'll be SAF's understudy, I think his influence will still be very strong next year.
  3. Spurs' midfield just can't compete, Huddlestone and Parker are struggling to get any space.
  4. Mata deserved the player of the year, been brilliant all season, not just for 3 months.
  5. I don't think Moyes is a good enough manager to lead such a big club and he has little experience in handling big players. His footballing style isn't much of an issue in my opinion, Man U haven't played consistently good football in a long time, they're just extremely effective in what they do.
  6. If Leon Britton can do well in this league, so can Anita.
  7. I was worried about players going but then I realised it's a World Cup season. Ashley won't sell unless it's for very good money and if we refuse to sell, players like Cabaye and Ben Arfa will just get on with it. They're the only 2 I can see getting any attention from other teams.
  8. I think he'll do better next year, as long as the Summer isn't disastrous in terms of outgoings. His work with the team is now far simpler compared to a year ago and a framework can be laid down for the squad he's got. Hopefully, with the pressure gone he'll return to the mentality that we saw at the back end of last year which was far better to watch than this turgid crap. I'd still rather have someone else but it just won't happen.
  9. Good timing. We were going to give him a run for his money next year after those 'wee club' comments.
  10. Douglas reckons he's out for the season. Also commented that Pardew apparently wanted to play him deeper to allow HBA to play a free role.
  11. What's the highest realistic possible position we can finish in? As close to top 10 would be great. I know it's a little small time but I'd fucking love to finish above the Mackems after that defeat.
  12. Thought he looked fine against West Ham, back to his usual size. I only watched it on a stream though.
  13. Fair play to Rooney if he goes abroad, not enough of our lot do. If it was to come off, it would interesting to see what Pep would get out of him. The idea of him learning German
  14. Other fans don't like us because we're (potentially) a threat. Wigan are perennial no-marks who are easy fodder for 90% of the season.
  15. I still reckon he has until Christmas. Surely dependent on how 'badly' we're doing. If we're in the bottom 5 after 10 games or so, I don't think they'll stand for it.
  16. He's not going but he's walking on thin ice. If things haven't improved within the first 10 games or so next year, then he's gone.
  17. He's got 2 games to redeem himself to his players and employers, the pressure's slightly off so just go for it you fucking plank. If he wants to keep his better players, he's going to have to show some initiative here and show them how where we could be going under him next year. No doubt the prick will be thinking about getting a tremendous point at QPR.
  18. I don't think we'll lose to Arsenal. I think we'll get 2 from the next 2 now. I was more sure we'd have won on Sunday if we'd have been in the relegation zone, but you know what Pardew will do now...
  19. Lucky indeed. We still need to win on Sunday, hopefully he sticks to his word and simply focuses on us.
  20. Had a feeling this would happen, brilliant stuff, didn't watch the second half. Hopefully Wigan fuck off and never come back. We've still got work to do, no fucking slacking on Sunday.
  21. But spoke total sense as usual. The only bit that was sense was spreading the scoring. His belittling of Swansea's size was crass and they are already consolidated as a mid-table side, is that his sole ambition? To do something he found easy once before? They should be aiming to go for top 8 next year, even if it is most likely out of their reach.
  22. That wasn't at all condescending from Laudrup
  23. Just got to hope Swansea keep them out, they've got a few draws of late, haven't they?
  24. Wigan's team is so poor, man. Embarrassing that we're here.
