You could well be right but I think there'll surely be some kind of appeals process and then for it to be looked at again. As has been said numerous times, Southampton's owners failed the test first time around.

Yeah, it looks no where near sorted. Hope I'm wrong mind but just cant see it being sorted this month at all. Don’t think either buyer or seller has expected the level of resistance. The feeling now is the delay is now how to stop it rather than go through. The best option I am holding on to is that they are waiting for the season to restart then the confirmation can be mixed in with news of games/Liverpool winning the league. Fair comment. Speaking for myself, I don't think I 'booted off' or was 'getting my knickers in a twist' but I felt it fair to comment on the original post, given how it was worded and the fact that it was posted by a person who is more connected to the club than anyone else on here (to the best of my knowledge).

I don't think anyone is over reacting over it, just saying that it's a bit disappointing if he (because of the reasons you've just said) has decided to go down the route like so many others of inferring ITK knowledge.

So make sure your fridge works to keep those cans chilled and ready for when the announcement comes out of the blue, whenever that may be. Nobody likes warm beer, or champagne in my case - I'm on a low carb diet. So no better than any 3rd rate journo or Steve wraith. Thought better of you. My gut feeling is that the WTO report is just delaying it, not kaiboshing it. It feels like we need to get past the final report being made public before things start to move, one way or another.

Maybe there is a chance that the published report has further things in it so they need to go through it before proceeding ? Perhaps the PL have told all parties that it's a green light, subject the published report not being different to the version they have already had.

As GM alluded to, maybe that's the tactic. Wait until it gets closer to the PL re starting then confirm the deal. At that point, a majority of the focus and media attention will be on football and Liverpool winning the league. It's a daft theory I know but who the hell knows anything any more.
