  1. We'll hear nowt from NUFC. They don't give a shit about keeping people informed. I assume that the NDA isn't in effect anymore otherwise Caulkin wouldnt have been given the nod to write his piece recently. I guess PIF et al are just lying low knowing how volatile MA can be. Next thing we'll hear is when it's all officially done.
  2. It's because a) Samuels is a known Ashley sympathiser so it was thought he'd have access to information and b) Mike Ashley is involved.
  3. science will never create an AI as thick as Lee Ryder Imagine knowing that you went for his job and realizing that the Chronicle thought Lee Ryder was a better choice.

  5. Sorry to be ignorant but what's DM and Pub-Ops? Dailymail. Ah Obvious when you know
  6. Whilst the UK does not have the concept of "good faith" within English contract law, there are likely clauses in any agreement that the parties have signed that mean if Ashley were to withdraw from the agreement, without cause (that is to say, without a specific and justifiable reason) he could be sued for damages (i.e. sued for the costs incurred by Staveley, Ruben Brothers, and possibly PIF - e.g. the cost of very expensive lawyers & accountants could be millions.) It is very significant that SJHL (St James Holding Limited) has a contractually binding agreement with Staveley because that agreement exists for a reason, and if Ashley caused SJHL to breach the agreement (without a justifiable cause) then SJHL would be subject to a lawsuit by Staveley. He was able to walk away from other acquisition scenarios, without cause or cost, because he didn't have any signed agreements in place. No appreciation for this? I like the common sense being spoken here. While I have the doubts that many others now have this morning, I do also believe that we are too far down the line to allow Mike Ashley to change his mind on a whim just to "mix things up a bit" as he likes to do (or words to that affect - taken from that Athletic piece where he decided to change the name of SJP just for the hell of it)
  7. I googled it to see what it was all about and i managed to stop myself. Like fuck am I clicking a Daily Mail link.
  8. He's tweeted some absolute shite tonight, like. I gave up as well.
  9. Yes. Even with no football, Rafa would be thinking, planning ahead, watching hours and hours of football matches. Bruce is probably just getting pissed and eating shite food all day.
  10. The full article from The Athletic is incredible. https://theathletic.com/1745144/2020/04/15/mike-ashley-newcastle-united-takeover/ It's the Mike Ashley deep dive we've deserved for years Seeing his face just there, i'd forgotten about that PR cunt, Bishop. Be very happy to be shot of that raging arse kissing sycophant.
  11. I have had occasional issues getting on this site this morning (via both Android phone and Windows laptop).
  12. Probably a link through QPR. Oh aye, that makes sense. Ah well, more positive vibes.
  13. I was going to ask mind, how does he know Jamie Reuben? Is there some secret Jamie club ?

    On this day...

Beyond actually winning something, you'd be hard pushed to have a more enjoyable season than that one. We were so fucking good.
  15. Why not Where do you think Bruce would take Newcastle, even with financial backing? Not very far! If you read my post properly I did say until the end of the season. Of course I want him out after then! Nah, cut him now. Get Rafa in so that he can start working now for next season.
  16. You're setting the bar a bit high for yourself there. That will be years away yet, even if it happens at all. That's not to say that we shouldn't aim for CL; that's what we should be doing but if you can't get all into NUFC again until then, you might have quite a wait. All I need is the appointment of a good manager and for them to be allowed to sign a couple of players that they specifically want.
