Why did he do it then if it made no difference and he wasn't bother by it? I'd say it's slightly different to normal retail practice as it's not like he had stock to get rid of to make space in a warehouse. I'd wager that the PL also don't want empty stadia otherwise it damages their brand.

I don't think Ashley could give two fucks if his staff are arguing and at each others throats. He doesn't care about people being happy in the workplace and I don't doubt that he'll assume that it'll all just work out in the end, just like it did last season.

A hated manager is a brilliant human shield for Ashley. He'll keep Bruce in place for as long as is viable.
