  1. I dont believe Keegan would begin legal action based on the argument being his word against the rest. He must have something solid. Honestly, I dont what to make of this news. Its more bad PR for the club which is disappointing
  2. Odd that that article is under the Newcastle section of the website and not Sunderland
  3. Bang goes my hope that this was all behind us
  4. Isnt this statement, their "climbdown" as you call it, evidence of them admitting their mistakes ? It doesn't really sound like that. They seemed to want Ashley to admit the error of his ways. I wasn't meaning it literally when I suggested that NUSC should admit their mistakes. I don't want or expect either party to start grovelling. I just thought it was a bit of a cheek that they should be expecting that of Ashley. I agree completely that neither party is going to come out grovelling. Its a start though and someone had to start the process of calling for some kind of truce. I guess we should be thankful someone has. Be good if Mike came out now and said something positive. The worse thing now would be for him to stay silent and for resentment to start growing again. God knows none of us want that

  6. I have only just heard Niall Quinn's press conference. It sounded like he wanted to burst into tears
  7. He isnt trying to drive the price down before buying us is he ?
  8. Fuck off you wimpy fucking sponge. Have some fucking pride in your club man. Not his club ?
  9. Spurs are going to bloody win it again arent they
  10. Well I hope Mike Ashley doesnt take too long to respond to this because it indicates we might be able to put this whole sorry mess to an end and to move on. Ball is in his court I guess.
  11. Really... 4,000 ? Bloody hell.
  12. Does it need saying? The FA are a joke
  13. Oh dear EDIT : to O-N's mate from Germany
  14. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!  Best fans in the world.
  15. Should we be worried that Wenger is going to be coming sniffing around Bassong ?

  17. They should have a "Relegationometer" on the pitch side - kind of like a giant Charity Thermometer which tells them how much money is raised.
  18. Jan Molby reckoning Keane not looking happy at being substituted again.
  19. Haha, away fans make up about 80% of the stadiums atmosphere. A further 19% is made from the smog. I think away fans make up 80% of the total attendance at the Riverside dont they
  20. To be very predictable : Gerrard will save them
  21. So 5Live have the commentary team of Alan Green and Jan Molby (sounds like JM anyway) on for the Liverpool v W Ham game. Nice and impartial Not sure who did the first 22.5 minutes of the game
  22. To be honest I wasnt trying to look too deeply into it. I simply considered where we are as of today and how capable we are of pulling away from everyone else. With the form being shown by the other teams, I think we will be in that bottom pack for most of the season. I fear we may have too many drawn games to pull away. WBA appear to be struggling and maybe the Makems might find themselves cut adrift if they arent careful. Taking that into account, I worry (is maybe a better word than think) that we will be one of the clubs capable of being in the fight to avoid that last spot.
  23. I can't agree with that, it's far too simplistic. Just not sure how complicated it can be really Mick. The club isnt in a good position on all sides so the possibility of relegation is greater than ever for me. The added form so far this year of Stoke and Hull is what bothers me. We cant just assume that they will hit a bad run and join us down the bottom. While our form has definitely steadied under Joe, we havent enjoyed an explosion of form to pull us away like Bolton and Fulham and I just dont see us having the eventual resurgence that we had last year Obviously hope to god I am wrong - i will gladly be proved wrong. I think if we survive it will be by the skin of our teeth.
