This puzzles me, because as far as I know he's back from injury and apart from 45 minutes, hasn't even figured for the reserves. I wonder whether JK is keeping him under wraps, because he'll turn 18 this week and presumably the club will seek to tie him to a full professional contract. Maybe he's worried that the likes of Wenger will steal him from under our noses. Just a thought. Judging by yesterday, I dont think he is that astute

I havent got SS1. Keep us up to date please mate

Yep. Yet another example how the fan in the stand can see what the manager cant. It scares me to think how many times this can happen between now and May.

The worry is that no matter how well we play, everyone will be expecting Joe to do something to fuck it up. He is going to wreak havoc with our confidence

Isnt Joe Kinnear on Goals on Sunday tomorrow ? If I have remembered correctly... THAT should be interesting
-
As Kinnear made the effort to put down the previous management's training regime, I can see exactly why he isnt prepared to adopt that same regimes team formation. Stubborn fool
-
It was like Roeder all over again, we played well when the team picked itself, it turned to shit through intervention from the manager who couldn't get it right. Actually, it was a mixture of Souness and Roeder.

Thats exactly it. Part and parcel of an ex players make up.

I am intrigued by his thinking. If your team has had a great 45 and you find yourself with an injured player, isnt one of your first thoughts to try to keep any changes to an absolute minimum - and if possible just replace like for like. Just cant workout why he would think such a movement of personnel in one hit would be a good idea.
-
I think this is very possible - very quickly. If all the people on this board could see the mistakes he made, it certain they will as well.

Sadly, I wonder if he just "assumed" that Stoke wouldnt improve
-
Its the manner of the result that is the most disappointing. I always thought this might be a stiff test due to their physical approach, long ball, long throw tactics. Had it been a ding-dong game and ended 2-2, I would have been disppointed but maybe not massively surprised. I am not sure it was the most winnable home game of the season. Plus Stoke havent done too badly for themselves so far this season However, to capitulate in a game in which we were in such complete and utter control for 45 minutes is like a sucker-punch to the stomach.

For me he simply side-stepped the opportunity to go with the 3 up front and come out for the 2nd half with an attacking mentality
-
Doesnt bother me. Just another footballer scoring against a former side. To be expected. Just a proof of lack of class - expected from most footballers these days

I am sticking with my 7

I think Y-G, that the reaction of the lads and lasses on here when he took Oba off, confirm that most people, if not everyone, would agree with you. It does seem like he just didnt have the guts to take Michael.
