  1. That's mainly due to us having a sh*t period when Hughton was in charge though and that cut us adrift a bit. Spurs are pretty much in the exact same boat as us, yet I'd say that us two will be more likely to push for Europe than the likes of Fulham & Bolton. Yeah. Definitely trying to play catch up for those few Hughton weeks. I think Sunderland are in a bit of trouble actually. Bolton fuck me right off. Every week I hope for them to collapse but they have won 3 out of their last 4 or something equally annoying.
  2. We do seem to be struggling to get to the upper part of this group as apposed to always being at the bottom. going to have to do something soon because I felt that the gaps in the teams were just starting to appear for the first time at the weekend. I think WBA are starting to get cut adrift from the rest.
  3. Cheers Wullie So he is going to sell fringe players who are no where near the first team (i.e. shite), and spend the money that we might get for them, if we are lucky enough to off-load said shite players, on quality players. How does that work then? Surely he is only going to be able to afford to replace like with like.
  4. Quite a few ifs and buts in there
  5. Where has he said Wullie ? This Transfer window isnt going to be good
  6. Only just realised that the game has been going 13 minutes already; got it on 5Live. I guess nowt's happened yet ?
  7. Surprisingly there may be snow overnight on friday, I'm ITK Do you know God ?
  8. Apart from setting up Oba's goal the other day. It's not like he's had much gametime to show what he can do either. I think as someone said in another thread, there is something good about having a player who is prepared to just get the ball and run at opposition defenders. Whilst a lot may not come off, that type of positive play is better to see and i ffeel ultimately more effective
  9. Be happy with that at the end of the season
  10. I do. A concern of mine is that the players will likewise and once the players start ingoring him......
  11. My only gripe is that he didnt just say he was in charge until the Chelsea game, end of. He talked about "it all coming to light , D-Day" and such bollocks etc etc. At a time when any snippet of information about possible announcements or decision is being jumped on by the fans, coming out with this kind of thing is, in my opinion, ill-advised and undoing any good work he is doing with the team.
  12. It is a worrying thought that we might dump all the high earners to make the club more sellable
  13. I am assuming that the club isnt going to get sold any time soon so for the forseeable, Mike is still going to be the owner. If Michael leaves in the summer he goes for free so my guess is that the club will get as much as they possibly can for him in January. No way will Ashley let him go for free - unfortunately for him, Michael holds all the aces.
  14. I think its plain to see that a sale isnt likely to happen any time soon.
  15. I find it funny that we have gone from signing players out of the blue like Jonas, to Kinnear telling us months in advance who he is going for (to the point just before actually identifying the players by name). I am a bit confused as to what the club policy is. Was the previous secrecy more by luck than judgement or is JK breaking the clubs policy by talking openly about it
  16. Only just caught Glenn Johnsons goal this morning. Brilliant. Accepting my dislike of the man anway as bias, but I would say it was a much better goal and more difficult to execute than Bentley's
  17. I am interested to see how the bookies call this one. Both sides very unpredictable. Will be goals definitely. Be surprised if we make it s 0-0 draws in a row
  18. This is where my knwoledge falls short. Can anyone enter the process of due diligence (if thats the correct phrase) or can you only get to that stage if you have had a bid accepted or met a selling price. Just wondering as JK's comment tonight suggested that the sale wasnt due any time soon as no one had produced the cash (and the americans specifically)
  19. Says who? Sounds like the usual bollocks. Check your PM's Cant you share with us all ?
  20. Fair play to Scolari. Snippets earlier may have suggested he was being bitter but seeing that fuller report shows him up better
  21. I dont expect to hear anything about the buyout until it happens. I understand that that is just the way its going to be. My take is that it will happen when it happens. Until then Kinnear is in charge and that fair enough. I like his honesty too and I feel sorry for him that he is the only mouthpiece for the club. LLLO - I would say your right and he probably was answering direct questions. I guess its maybe wishful thinking on my part for him to just say that he knows nothing and would rather not comment on it.
  22. If I have over reacted then I apologise. I just wish it was a case of "I am in charge until you hear otherwise" and then he got on with managing the team. But every month, or every so often, he appears to come out with stuff and dates and timelines that just havent happened and to me it just makes him look silly. I have nothing against him personally and I will be forever grateful for him coming in at a time when no one else would touch us with a bargepole. I just wish he wouldnt talk about stuff about the takeover because, whether its of own volition or not, is making him look a little foolish.
