I am writing this before seeing anyone elses responses to the official statement but one thing puzzles me.... If he had issued something like that a week or so ago, he might have avoided yesterdays shennanigans. So I remain ever so slightly cynical but the statement in itself makes me disappointed he isnt staying in charge.

So what happens to Wise and the rest now?... up until a new owner comes in. Their motivation is now surely down the shitter

Is the truth that we didnt really want Him out especially. Is if fair to say if this statement had said "Wise and Llambias Out - being replaced by 2 people subject to joint interviews with Ashley and Keegan", then most people would have been happy to still have him a the helm. I think I would.

But why didnt he just get rid of the staff that the fans were most concerned about. Wise and Llambias. Is he scared of them or something. Its odd that he would rather get out than just replace the problematic staff.... assuming he really did love his time here up until 2 weeks ago.. Jesus.... here we go again

Bottom line is that its been done now and the banner has been seen. I dont think it will alter anyones perception of geordies as a whole because they will already have an opinion on what they think of us. Intelligent people will know that one the main, geordies are good honest people intermingled with a handful of idiots. That is backed up with quotes from keegan, Wise and Ashley in recent times. Yup thats my take on it.
