If the players Dennis Wise likes fall in line with the strategy set out by the club then I can't see why they wouldn't go for them. FYP

Wikipedia changed already I see

The reason the club has become a laughing stock is because of the mongs hanging around outside the stadium, holding banners with the word 'boycoutt' on it and drinking bottles of white lightning like they think they're clever. People are laughing about Keegan walking too, not because of anything Ashley has done but because he's got a reputation for walking out on clubs. Its everything and everyone making us a laughing stock - not just Keegan. To a man, down here in Birmingham, everyone said "what are you doing employing Dennis Wise". People's perception of the club is that its a joke and a mess from top to bottom.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2008/apr/06/football.comment Good article and some insight into the type of manager Zico is Sounds just like Keegan :-[

Can see the thinking... you can see the shirts with his name on the back already

I think we are justified in taking out our years of frustration on him because he has shown that he is no better than the rest and is possibly making a worse job - at a time when most of us thought "at last, the change we wanted". This isnt a "he is at fault, keegan is perfect claim". I just dont have any faith that he is going to make any better decisions than have ever been made in the past by previous regimes. I sense an appointment on the scale of Souness coming. I pray to be proved wrong. And to be honest I dont think we ever need to know what really happened. All we know is it has happened and it happened under his ownership. Buck stops with him.

Anyone contemplated losing this game ?

To maybe try and put a bit of a positive spin on things, if we were to take Poyet from Spurs, what kind fo affect might that have on their season ? Who the hell would do their post match interviews for starters. Joking aside, Leeds noticably took a nosedive after he left. Could the impact of him leaving Spurs have a similar affect (early to tell I know but I do expect Spurs to greatly improve as the seasons progresses)
-
Would that person be you? He had stays at both Newcastle (part 1) & Man City which seem very long compared to some stays in the Premier League. Of course he left Fulham early due to the England job. Yeah, I didn't mean Keegan personally, I just meant that a lot of managers don't last for that long - so it would be a bit naive to think he would definitely stay the course. And thats ths saddest thing of all. What with our recent history or changing managers, Keegan was supposed to be the beginning of a period of stability for us

Quote - "I am used to working alongside technical directors so this isn't an issue for me. It's normal for me to work in those conditions." Thats quite a specific statement to make. Has he been reading the stories or has he already been spoken to ?
-
Be quite fitting. Perhaps they could put the after match interview across the screen vidi-printer style. I would prefer the old one form the 70's that actually looked like a typewriter
-
Regardless of which way the fans face, Dennis Wise will think he is being stared at by 52,000 arseholes anyway
-
I thought Gianluca Vialli would have been a good choice in the past but when he went to Watford, it turned out he was fucking wank.
-
They probably thought they were finally going to see something worth spending their hard earned cash on.
-
Tellingly, no one has any idea about any of it but I am sure someone will tell us what his real list was. The paranoia of what relly happened is going to drive us all insane
-
Privilege and an honour. Give me a break.
-
Couldnt have put it better myself
-
I hope where it doesnt get to the stage where we end up rushing the appointment and give said new manager so many millions just because he was the only option prepared to take the job on
-
Guess you dont accept Nixon's apology then

Someone from the North West said to me today "Aye. Keegan likes to splash the cash a bit doesnt he". So if we are to believe that KK refused all the unknown younger talent in a bid or a hope to get Ashley to splash the cash on a more established player(s) (and not the ridiculous Lampard type players that that shite story suggested), then the blame for me lies with : 1) Keegan for being too stubborn and set in his ways and looking to sign "stars" but more importantly 2) Ashley for a) not doing his background work on Kevin enough to think that this is the type of Manager he might be and b) for not making this abundantly clear at the initial interview and if necessary, putting it in his contract. I am fucking fed up with this club making the wrong choice of manager and if KK is fault for his ideas for the team and transfers, then Ashley still gets the brunt of my anger for not choosing his man correctly. Unless there was an alterier motive for bringing in the "Messiah" (hello Mr Cynic)
-
Only just flitted through this but the general gist I am getting from this is that we are suggesting that Kevin was acting in a way that would jeopardise this club's season and basically fuck us over. If it true, and to be fair from a lot of the point I have read its perfectly feasible, then the man would seriously go down in my estimation but I guess I have to ask myself, would he do something like that and for what reason?
-
But none of this happened, so what was the point again? I think it's a fairly obvious one that it's less about the "system" and more about the personalities involved. Whether it's valid is another question. You know I spent ages trying to word a reply to that because in essence I know what he is trying to say but its such a ridiculously hypothetical scenario, its pointless arguing over. Because of course it would never have kicked of had he brought in Wise to be Manager over Keegans head !
-
Name me one, just one Newcastle fan who would take either Curbishley or O'Leary over Terim. I have no particular reason to want Terim myself, but at least he is not on my 'not in a million years' list. You beat me to that. To suggest any fan would want Curbishley or O'Learly is madness.

You cant possibly say that you can enjoy whats happening at the moment. No ones dedication should be called into question but you cant just blindedly avoid whats happening at boardroom level. There are always going to be decisions that we dont go along with but these latest events are just taking them all to a new level. They are making the club a total laughing stock (even more than usual if thats possible) and more than ever it appears that they are taking the piss out of the fans Its not likely to be "our turn" any day soon I am afraid
