  1. Well said that man, it hurts like hell, but it's not the end of the world. No one is claiming it to be the end of the world man but people are passionate about this club. Surely we can all accept that. This is as an emotional time time as I have ever known. Lets just accept each others reaction to it all.
  2. You dont think that fans have a right to be given some information, any information, at a time like this? To be re-assured that the club isnt in the total disarray that is appears to be in ? To be told that the search for a new manager is at an advanced stage and that candidates have been targeted. Stunning. If your happy to just sit back and let the club act ike this then you must be a dream supporter for them then because it appears that your just prepared to let them do whatever the fuck they like. Looking at what is happening on the pitch today, I would guess that there isnt any information being fed through to the players either because they appear to be performing like a text book team of players that havent a clue what the fuck is going on and have had all the confidence sucked from them.
  3. Just reflecting on a comment on Soccer Saturday Is there any other club in the country who is playing at home yet appears to have none of the senior staff in the directors box. Am sure the players are impressed by their support.
  4. So are you perfectly happy not having an earthly clue what is going on with the club in terms of the employment of a new manager
  5. The Ronaldinho etc story was utter bollocks man. I cant believe there is a Newcastle fan alive that believed that. I agree that most people love(d) Ashley but when it came to a point when he needed to prove himself, when Keegan walked out, he disappointingly seems to have found himself wanting. You are obviously upset that Keegan walked out and we all are, but surely you cant avoid that the senior managements (this thread isnt just about Ashley) failings appear to have come rushing to the fore this last fortnight. I have to say, whether it be right or wrong, they seem to think they owe the fans nothing in terms of communication. Fans are the lifeblood of every club, of the sport, and to not keep in contact with them during troublesome times like this, is just shite. Its almost like they are taking it as Us v Keegan + Fans
  6. I wonder if both of them had to go away to just "sleep on it"
  7. dont know much about llambias but ashley must trust him so im all for giving him a chance. i couldnt care less what PR comes out of the club tbh. rarely is there any "statement" on the official site worth reading and anything thats comes out is usually twisted by the media or the fans to suit their agenda. I think we would just like to know who is in charge of our club. I dont expect huge interviews on a daily basis but it would be nice to be able to gauge an opinon of the personalities of the people in charge, either by tv or even written interviews. We loved Keegan because we instantly knew, by just listening to him, that his passion for the club was equal to ours. I agree, anything on the web site is just a load of crap but just the odd word, here and there, i think is all that most people would ask for. For example, it would have been good to have seen Wise in front of a camera at some point this week. Not going into details of what happened but just to tell us that he is fully commited to the future development and success of Newcastle United. For me, the silence suggests he is just sitting in his office in London, chuckling away to himself, safe in the knowledge he doesnt have to front any direct questions. I quick interview would help change this opinion for me.
  8. I presume that is purely and simply to accomodate Owen in his deeper role
  9. nobody called for his head because he was/is doing very well. very decent squad, financial stability and a good start to the season. thats the best PR we could hope for in my eyes. ps. keegan himself said he had the final say plenty of times when he knew he didnt, so why isnt he the liar? my take is that he did have final say up until that final day of the transfer window. Where the lie seems to be is on that fucking ridiculous web site statement that suggested he didnt.
  10. And the blatantly obvious point you missed is that Ashley and his team are saying nothing. That was James whole argument.
  11. and yet most people have formed an opinion on how much they hate ashley James post wasnt just about Ashley though. What do you think of Llambias ? We now do not seem to have one single member staff who is prepared to talk to the press. You cant surely say that this is an acceptable way to run a football club.
  12. See ya. Should be interesting being sat here 24 hours from now
  13. Does this whole thing just come down to the fact that the club werent prepared to actually give Keegan total control over who comes in or out of the club ? I am trying to get my head around the thought of Keegan actually wanting Wise out as apposed to just saying "if he interfere's again he is out". Be a bit disappointed if Kevin couldnt work to the structure if he was given the power that he wanted.
  14. Dare I ask, any of the shitehouse newspapers put their spin on this yet
  15. This is Ashley's 2nd attempt at appointing a manager and on the face of it, he appears to be making a pig's ear of it second time around. Doesnt inspire me with confidence for the future
  16. That's the worrying thing about all this, aye. If we've spent all this time thinking about getting KK back then we've probably not been chasing others. Rubbish. Honestly this whole situation just goes from bad to worse. If we go another week without a manager, i aint looking forward to having to go to bloody West Ham who are going to be full of confidence due to their new manager.
  17. Mercenary twat wants to leave already. Doesnt exactly sound like he fits the criteria of being "right for this club".
  18. Ashley seems to prefer London, it makes me wonder why he bought a club so far from London then try to run it from such a distance. surely to god, for the fans sake, and the sake of the club, they should have met somehwere that wouldnt have been found out though? Maybe it was important to ashley to be seen to be trying to make an effort surely keegan would have seen through that? and asked for a meeting elsewhere? bit bizarre if you ask me. Maybe Keegan never had any intention of going back but agreed to the public meeting konwing that when it came out that no agreement had been made, it dropped ashley further in the shit for not being able to sort it out

  20. If your at the point of begging you will do anything to get what you want. cant imagine Mike Ashley has ever begged anyone for anything.
  21. Yup bang on. Ashley waited to long I am afraid.
  22. Well I suppose he was bringing his legal team to try and secure £8m compensation then. It's probably the best way of keeping his Soccer Circus going a bit longer. Thats bollocks and I think Kevin Keegan deserves a bit more respect than that mate
  23. Sad as it is to say, thats if for Kevin now. I dont know what to make of Ashley really but the only thing I can think of to place him above any new owner, is that I hope he is at home now thinking, "I owe it to the fans, my staff and myself, to show that I can make this club a success". If there was ever going to be a compromise, they both have to give a little. You cant having 1 getting all their own way. It would never sit well with the other and it would be a ticking time bomb.
  24. Sad thing is that I kind of got the impression that the anger was levelling off with the level headed supporters and those with an ounce of gumption realised that the important thing was to get behind the side and the players tomorrow. I feel like this has just stirred everything and everyone again and we are back to where we were 10 days ago.
