  1. Just what I was going to say. He has great credentials him. From BBC's Holiday programme to this !! Cracking decision.. how do these dickheads who make these decisions get to these positions of power. Good to see Michael Grade is having the impact he promised at ITV.
  2. One of the things I enjoy about this forum is that we have a few fans of other clubs on here offering their opinions. Even trotter58 or whatever he is called. Would lose something if it was left to Newcastle fans only. Dont even think about banning anyone simply for supporting another club.
  3. That's SSN for you. Well we are getting slagged of left, right and centre for being happy and for smiling so anything is possible.
  4. It was quite widely reported, usually in conjunction with Defoe spraying Wenger with champagne Other members of the Arsenal delegation, including the managing director Keith Edelman, had left the stadium early possibly anticipating traffic problems around the ground. Indeed, while Arsenal were represented in the directors' box until the final whistle, some directors left their seats around the 70-minute mark with Spurs well en route to a first victory over their bitter rivals in 21 attempts. http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2245845,00.html But a), that only mentions the Directors, not the fans and b), it tries to justify their early departure by citing traffic problems. So still waiting to see some condemnation of the Arsenals fans' attitude. Apologies, I understand your point now. TBH, the vast majority of the journos are either Arsenal or Chelsea so the likelihood of getting a true representation in the press of what happened is very unlikely. I doubt whether there were 200/250 Arsenal fans still left in WHL to see Adebayor score the consolation, let alone see the final whistle. Thats really poor support. I know it cant have been easy seeing your boys getting a whacking at your nearest and dearest but bloody hell. You wouldnt want them along side you in the trenches would you ?
  5. That's why I was happy to give credit where it was deserved. A club like Arsenal doesn't deserve fans like that tbh. I certainly remember them from the 98 Cup Final. Walking out the stadium like they were walking to the newsagents. They had just won the FA Cup for fucks sake and not a one was celebrating, singing, dancing etc. Just walking along like it was another day.

    Walcott on Loan

Apologies if mentioned. Havent read the whole thread. Madness comment from Wenger demanding guarantees on where we must be played. Play him there youself you fucking twat or let any manager who thinks he is good enough for a starting position, play him where he feels fit. Utter prick
  8. Didnt see anything mentioned about them leaving early in the press We were the scum of the earth for walking out early against Portsmouth and that was despite most, if not all, of them just going for an early half time piss.
  9. I am dont hate them. Am a bit jealous of them really. They have had all sorts of issues over recent years and have been a very poor team for a fair chunk but have still had the odd cup success thrown in. That team that George Graham was fairly ordinary but they still wont the League Cup Another cup final to look forward to again after last night.

    Today's matches.

Just been having a conversation about Gerrard along these lines. I don't think he does enough with the ball at his feet. Doesn't go past people enough and only really drives forward witht he ball if he gets it on a counter attack. Other than that he plays too many long passes and passes the ball off to quickly, too often for my liking. Still a top player mind you ... but certainly not in the same bracket as the type of players you have mentioned. He is for Liverpool. No other player could drive them on like he does. I would like to see him in a top Eruopean side to see how he does. I think he is class and to Liverpool he is absolutely priceless.
  11. Don't get me wrong, Martin Samuel has proved himself to be a twat of the highest order for a long time now, but I don't see what is so controversial about the above article. He's basically saying that everyone thinks they're special, and he's right. Just dont get WHY he has to join the long list of journalists who write articles that are trying to put us down. Do journalists report news or do they now just write down their own personal views ?

Some of the other bits of defending seemed pretty decent but its Titus all over isnt it - he cancels it all out with one absolute howler that results in a goal
  14. Yep, hes exactly what we need and.....(*whispers - a geordie too?*) the man utd fans are crying already http://www.redcafe.net/f9/carrick-line-18m-toon-return-183457/ I love the modesty "he is a regular in the best team in the world"... Man U are very very good but I think AC Milan may have something to say about it all

having just heard him speak, is it just me or is Andy Johnson after a gig as a David Beckham impersonator + wig of course.
  16. We may not play very well or create many chances but I can say with a fair amount of confidence that we arent going to go to the Emirates to contain them.
  17. I have a feeling they did against Burnley

    Bolton - a warning

Yeh, give me that total football with zero goal attempts anyday. Sammy Lee tried to bring football to Bolton. Didnt go down very well.

    Bolton - a warning

You lot were so enamoured with Megson that you were protesting, wanting him out, before he had even done a days work.

    Bolton - a warning

Why is it that Newcastle's more deluded supporters keep harping on about the football they played under Keegan when he was last in charge and yet completely ignore the fact that Man City, the last team he managed in the Premier League, were absolutely shite? Sigh. Dr Spectrum can confirm the stats but they finished 6th didnt they ?

    Bolton - a warning

Don't worry about it. It will a be a while before you're in either competition again. Hey mate. Got the lottery numbers for Wednesday

    Berbatov

What if Shearer gets the No 2 job... that may help. But I agree. No way would we attract Berbatov. If he leaves you its definitely for bigger and better things
