  1. Can't keeping playing Mitrovic, Colback and Perez and expect to win games. They are all frequently guilty of shocking performances and together it's a train wreck.
  2. Had already sent a text saying it was good to snag the draw. Word.
  3. He's a target man who scares the opposition and his headers are bullets, but his ball skills are poor; he lacks speed and coordination. The latter aren't the kind of attributes that are going to improve greatly now he's 21. Can see him being a ~15 per season goalscorer in the prem if he gets the red mist under control, which would make him a great asset. Could work well with a quick striker with good touch and control. Watching him warm up and shoot at the game yesterday, he was by far the worst shooter of the whole starting XI, and that's including Dummet... 0 of 3 went in and none even remotely challenged the keeper despite his noticeable effort. That won't change greatly, so better to focus on his strengths.

Stoke are on a run of 0-4 Man city 0-4 Tottenham (h) 1-4 Liverpool and nothing to play for, doesn't fill with confidence..

It's just so hard to predict who turns up at this time of the season. For Sunderland it's entirely possible that none of Stoke, Chelsea, Everton and Watford give a f*ck when they play. Even within a team, just takes one player to either want it or not to change the entire match, and that's much harder to predict than the outcome a normal football match where it's reasonable to assume everyone is at least semi-motivated. We definitely need to win twice to have a chance. If we do that, well done to Rafa and the team since he was installed - lot of blame at their feet and the club management for not getting rid of McClaren before the Spain hiatus. 3 wins feels like too much to ask. Too much chance Spurs have the title in play on the final day.
  6. Dummet is like the Michael Cera of football. Looks like he just found himself in the dressing room one day, the manager thought he was a footballer, and the easiest thing was to go with it and run out onto the pitch, and now he's in too deep to get out.

I feel like we're going to have to beat Spurs on the final day to survive, and they're going to need to beat us to win it. Which is a marked improvement on 1 week ago.

The poll should be changed to, after how many games will we be mathematically relegated? 36
  9. Snatched relegation from the jaws of hope. Classic Newcastle in this era. There's basically nothing to like about this club at the moment. It's just a weekly source of frustration and fuckwitery to watch. :slowclap:
  10. Do I vaguely remember the owner of CP linking him to Real Madrid earlier in the season
