Think I recall seeing us lose 2-0 to Charlton at Selhurst one year?

This match got mentioned on the Totally Football Show today. I'd heard about it but never seen. The thing is, Beardsley isn't even the worst keeper that day. I'm not sure I've seen such a set of shambolic keeping performances, including by the actual keeper. Then you've got an own goal too. What a state
Did we use 3 keepers that night? Chris Hedworth maybe? Don't recall Martin Thomas ever being that bad.

poor you
My daughters 1st game was toon v Wimbledon at Selhurst. Not quite 4 years old and in tears when Shearer scored as the noise was so loud under that tin roof. Plenty more tears where they come from watching this club I thought. In all seriousness though she was soon hooked.

Always fancied the Shay at Halifax. Looks a nice big old school ground. Midweek will put me off though

A mate of mine is a regular follower of Worksop Town and he was telling me how Perch was playing against them for Ilkeston Town the other week.

Steve Hardwick passed away on Monday aged 68. He made 134 appearances for #nufc between 1977 - 1983 RIP Steve
Ah man. He used to get some stick but was around during some dark years at the toon until KK arrived in 82. A familiar face from watching the club growing up in my teens. RIP Steve.

Really looking forward to watching Evertons collapse on MOTD

Blue Star missed a golden opportunity today. 2 up after about 15 mins v Hallam in the FA cup 1st qualifying round. They gave away a pen which was saved early in the 2nd half but Hallam scored from the resulting corner. They equalised from another corner soon after. Heading for a replay when a sloppy Blue Star pass on the half way line resulted in the Hallam winner from, you guessed it, yet another corner. Blue Star? More like blew it star. Did tremendously well to get passed North Shields and North Ferriby away to get that far though.

The new fence will end up getting kicked to fuck by fans leaving the stadium.
Yip, wouldn't have lasted 5 mins if it was up after that late Liverpool capitulation last season.

Is Clark away to Ipswich? Been busy but thought I heard it mentioned on total sport.

Great comeback win for Blue Star away at North Ferriby, who I think are a league above. 2-0 down and seemingly dead and buried, they won 4-2 AET. Sheffield club Hallam at home next.

Piece on Hebburn Town coming up in Look North.

What a day that KK debut was. I hung on the advert hoardings at the back of the gallowgate near the scoreboard (hence my user name), in the very appropriate blazing sunshine. The sun shone on the toon in more ways than one that day. A simply unbelievable signing. It just wouldn't sink in for days that it was really happening.
As some others have mentioned, I did my 1st away game with a mate at 15 also. At Carlisle in KKs 1st season although he was missing after getting an eye injury in a testimonial v Boro. Might have been Howard Gayles debut that day? Sure he was playing anyway.

Potential great draw for Heaton Stan in the FA cup. Bury at home, who I'm guessing would bring a few. Just got to negotiate a replay 1st.

Premier sports currently free to all virgin users. Think it's Scottish league cup games this weekend.

Watched the draw last night and it seemed every club mentioned was followed up with a mention of when they won it. "Swansea...winners in 2013." then "Luton Town....winners in 1987". Every Tom, Dick n Harry has won it man, bar us. Was admittedly surprised to learn Everton have never won it tbh.

No wonder they look miserable posing in that pic. Awful!

Shame. It’s the forum Lockwood Cup that weekend and we are looking for as many tickets as possible as people traveling from all over for it.
If by any chance it becomes available we’ll snap it up off here 👍🏻
Will keep that in mind if owt changes.

Brighton. Oct 19th. Adult daughter's lined up for it. Had a ST ticket together for about 2 decades after taking her from 3 year old and was a good bonding thing, but the fat twat put paid to that when we felt we had to give them up. Mine briefly when i realised not enough people had done likewise to make a real difference. By the time i got mine back she had other financial commitments, new house etc but had we not chucked it in the 1st place i'm sure she would have found the money. Saddens me really .
-
Oh aye, that's right. Cheers.
-
Someone please remind me of the rules around ST holders forwarding a one off league game ticket. Can it be forwarded to anyone you know or does the person receiving need to be a member? Booked a hol and miss a game.

Mad that he got away with that. Looked through the nufc.com archives and the game I was at was 87/88 but funnily enough was on 23rd September so almost to the day again. Garth Crooks got both Charlton goals and it was game over early on . Good job I expected little else in those days.
