Happened more than once, yes. To my mum also who was sworn at with her Ashley Out banner.Unbelievable man. He relegated us twice. Changed the name of our home to the sports tat arena and turned us into a club that stopped competing. When we had signs of hope like we did at the end of the season Rafa went he ensured any hope was extinguished. It's one thing to sit it out and hope he fucks off but to be vitriolic to those wanting him out just blows my mind.

Didn't they get relegated into the bargain?

I’m genuinely surprised anyone actually believed a mass exodus or mass cancelling of season tickets was ever going to happen. I can understand cancelling because you’d had enough but it happening on mass was never realistic.
A boycott and a mass walkout both failed to get even quadruple figures nevermind actually cancelling a season ticket
Well the strength of feeling seemed strong among the fan base when Rafa went but aye, it was all talk. Our fans don't do protest very well. Few banners outside sports direct etc. Blackpool did it properly when they wanted rid of Oyston. Crowds went down to sub 1k I'm sure and protests were regular outside Bloomfield Road during games.

Was there last night. Not a nice atmosphere. Daftness. Too many kids trying to wind each other up.

thank you so much.
I really wasn't having a go at you huss9. Each to their own. As I say I can understand people staying. Ashley was still in charge when I went back so I could be criticised for that. I just feel a mass exodus might have hastened his departure.

Wholly my own opinion here.
There seems to be some growing resentment coming from none season ticket holders towards those that do have season tickets, it started quite tamely but, is escalating quickly to a critisism that we somehow supported Ashley and enjoyed being managed by Steve Bruce.
I have had a season ticket for so many years that I stopped counting. However, my point is that when Rafa left and Bruce was appointed I chucked my ticket in. It was my understanding that a majority of others were going to do the same. Seems that it was just a handful in the end. I was on a fixed 10 year (which seems to have become endless) deal and was paying hardly anything in reality. As the talk of the takeover was really gathering pace I asked my son and my dad if they wanted to get tickets again, initially it would be just for one season to see what happened with the takeover etc. Of course no 10 year deal prices were available, I pay close to double the amount others are paying who sit near to me. Anyway as things turned out it was the best thing I could have done and a few short months into that season it all happened. It also happened that when I bought my season tickets back that would also be the last time season tickets would be available to buy. I feel incredibly lucky for those circumstances to have rolled out for me in the way that they did.
I feel heartily sorry for the ones who want to go to the match but, have the issues to buy tickets. It would be great if it was better or we had a bigger stadium or something but, we don't. I am not quite sure what else I want to say other than being a season ticket holder does not make me feel superior to anyone that doesn't. It makes me feel grateful and somewhat lucky...
Very similar circumstances to myself. After 29 years I gave my ST up when we failed to keep Rafa. On a deal also. Loyalty pts wiped. Expected 10s of thousands staying away and doing the same but nowhere near as many did in reality. Wondered why I'd bothered and felt let down by our fan base. Still do if I'm honest. After missing it and thinking my staying away was futile I gambled on going back. After all I could walk away if nowt changed. I can understand why people persevered. It's hard to stop doing what you've enjoyed doing all your life. Some worried about the loyalty point aspect but those who walked away did so to improve the club. So that there would be cup finals as there is now. Only thing is the ones who tried to make a difference are now missing out and have people like Magdad mocking them, along with the disabled. Out of order Magdad. We all have opinions but shouldn't resort to personal insults.

yeah even had the luxury of Bradford in a final!
Swansea v Bradford in a cup final man. There was even Portsmouth v Cardiff in an FA cup final one year. All those years when cups were practically there for the taking and our lot weren't interested.

4 Scottish Clubs have won European Trophies. Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Dundee United.
21 different clubs have represented Scotland in European competitions, which is quite a high percentage given there is only 42 clubs across the top leagues set up (albeit a lot of them are only part time/semi-pro)You surprise me with Dundee Utd. Didn't realise they'd actually won anything in Europe. Can remember them going very close. Seen them lose the 87 Scottish cup final to St Mirren...up the saints! Then think they lost a European final a few days later. Had they beaten Barcelona in the semis?

the days of "it's a goal!!!!"
then you'd have to wait till they went to the ground to see if it was us them that had scored.
Class! That "It's a goal" jingle brings back memories. Can hear it vividly in my mind. The tension when you heard it was massive.

It's NUFC. Anything can happen on any day. Never know what we're going to get.

While I'm obviously not blaming the fans, it sounded like the crowd thought we'd wrapped it up as much as the players did. The second half atmosphere sounded largely silent, punctuated by the usual moans and groans.
Yes, I think most thought it was job done. For any club other than ours a 4-1 lead should be a formality.

You's need to stop belittling Forest, they deserve to be where they are. And they've achieved a lot more than us these past 50 years.
Without checking records, most of what they achieved in those 50 years was about 45 years ago. You can't take those achievements away but don't recall them achieving much, if anything more than us since the very early 80s.

Title looking like a one horse race now after Barnet battered us in midweek. Couple games in hand but still a big ask at this point. Tragedy that only one goes up because the race for second place is very much on.
I pondered driving down for the York game yesterday in case they do go up. That way I'd be helping keep my 92 club membership intact. Ended up going down the road to Blue Star for a dull 1-0 win v Penrith. Another time I suppose. As you say, sadly top spot is sliding away but who knows in the play offs.

Why are they booing? It's February and that's their first home loss of the season FFS
And they're forgetting their very lowly finish last season. As for their free/cheap ticket policy. People will get used to that. Unless they're doing really well, the same fans will begrudge paying real ticket prices when asked.

Exactly. Overpriced "beer" in plastic glasses for a mere few hours pre match.

Apologies if I've missed it on previous pages but this is canny for looking up your seat. I used this while choosing mine.

Wasn't a dig at the option.
The only time I've ever used the megabus is one time back from Manchester which was "only" meant to take just under three hours.
Three hours slowly become 6 hours sat near a toilet that could've been described as a war crime.
😄 No worries. I must have just been lucky. Hope it continues that night.

The megabus after getting beat would be the most depressing thing known to man.
Just an option for leaving London late enough that didn't cost the earth. From past experience I've always found the buses comfortable enough. Much prefer the train of course and getting the train down but a chunk of the journey is replaced by a bus anyway.

I’m a teacher too. Anybody driving back with a spare seat? Will obviously pay petrol
9.30 Megabus? Only 6 and a half hours ☺. Gets me home straightforwardly anyway.
Edit to say I've just noticed the teacher bit. Might be a bit tired at school that day.

You're doing nowt for my anxiety here
They've committed to saying those in pots 1-3 Will get a ticket and I'm guessing they're able to say this based on them knowing how many are eligible in each pot. When you think of it, we have just short of 32K tickets and have a similar number of ST holders I believe. IF so, very few ST holders should miss out...he said desperately trying to reassure himself as much as you Jack ☺

Waiting for the KO time is like waiting for the outcome of a VAR call. Taking way longer than it really should.

Apart from the pubs on the Kilburn High Road which were full of Man U’s lads and not the smartest recommendation as some found out to their cost.
Aye, That's right now you've reminded me. We went...very briefly, until we realised it was full of mancs, and plastic mancs.

Maybe a daft question and done before so apologies - do we have a concise list in London of places where us without a match ticket will be enjoying the pre match, match and possible after the match fun, for full on fan atmosphere?
Im sure for the last final someone put out a great list of places for those not going to the game. London Mags maybe?
