  1. Just over 35K tickets I read. At least no regulars at the SOS should miss out with that figure cos that's as many as they've had all season.

40 years since the Bradford City fire.

    Terrifying how quickly it spreads.

And that poor cunt just walking along on fire :'(

R.I.P to the 56 that went out to watch the football and never came home.

Truly awful what happened that day. Watched "Unforgettable" last night. A documentary about the fire that had been on BBC 2 on Sunday. From the 1st sighting of any smoke to the whole stand being destroyed took about 5 mins. Loads naturally made their way to the back of the stand but with turnstiles etc locked there was no escape. Unimaginable the horror they must have went through. I'm sure myself and many other toon fans had sat in that stand when we played them in the league cup earlier that season. R.I.P to the 56 cruelly taken.

  3. 6 years (on the 12th May) since Rafas farewell on that glorious sunny day at Craven Cottage. A 4-0 romp. We were looking so good at the end of that season. Was interesting reading the report on nufc.com and talk of the possibility of Rafa being replaced by some has been, happy to tow the line. That's almost what we got except Bruce never was anything, so not quite a has been. It was the day of the flotilla up the Thames too. I can remember watching from a pub and a Chelsea fan was commending us for how good that was.

But then we get atleast -2 from the losses, and they get atleast +1 from the win. That's down to 2, and they can definetly ship more past Man Utd. We will never lose both though, that would be wild.

Ah aye, not denying it's possible but it's just a possibility rather than a likelihood IMO. If we lose both games by 1 and Chelsea lost at Forest that would need a 3 goal margin, assuming Chelsea only lost that by one, in their other game v man utd. Doable of course but even us having scored 6 more goals means they might need more.

If Villa lose, then they are out of the equation (from our perspective), but then if Forest won their 2 remaining matches (obviously one would include Chelsea) and Chelsea beat Man Utd then we could, and very likely will, finish 6th with 2 losses.

Not sure about the very likely bit. GD currently 4 better than Chelsea and if Forest beat Chelsea it would go up to at least 5. More just a possibility IMO.

Pretty sure it rules out the (vile) prospect of Forest and Chelsea playing out an agreed draw and us missing out, yes?

Forest wouldn't catch us and barring a big Chelsea win in their other game a point for us would see them off. They'd be playing each other not knowing how our last game would pan out, unless word of a big Everton lead...heaven forbid...got through to them.

Anybody got purchase history at Hibs? Was thinking about ticking off Easter Road next Saturday but need previous purchase history to get one.

I was there earlier in the season with St Mirren if I can help. Just experimented and managed to log in.

 cant believe that video of them being waved off with flags and flares is real. bless them.

is it just the staff from their training ground do you reckon?

Ha ha! There are more people actually on the bus than seeing them off FFS. A real bunch of SMBs.

Just heard Stockton might be in a bit trouble for the play-offs - nightmare if true

Officially booted out and Guisely reinstated. Took them long enough to decide that mind. Mate of mine who follows Worksop, Guisely will now play Worksop in tomorrow's final, tells me they didn't finalise their opponents until 11.45pm last night. All tickets were already sold etc. Not the ideal pre match preparation when you don't know your opponents.

    Nothing loading there.

Was just an email from Coventry saying as I have attended a home game "recently", sure it was 2 years ago, I have until tomorrow to apply for the play off home leg ticket I'm entitled to. I'm just useless with technology and trying to upload stuff etc so have taken it down. If they go up maybe they'll give me a ticket for the Toon game. Bit too old for sitting undercover with home fans nowadays like.

I've bought a ticket for tomorrow. Seems the Excelsior Academy car park is open, so hopefully should be ample spaces.

Pleased you got sorted. Sorry I didn't reply. On holiday so only check the forum now and again. Looks like possibly the biggest occasion for Blue Star since their rebirth.

I'd just get the number 1 bus to Slatyford from the college it literally drops you off outside Scotswood Sports Centre. Its a canny old walk from the college, I wouldn't fancy it as it'll take over an hour

Aye, number 1 is very handy. Parking is always a struggle down there for run of the mill league games with a gate of 300 so it'll be really difficult on Friday night. There's a free car park outside Denton Burn library on the West Road, near the Denton pub. It's about 10 mins walk from there.

Tremendous day. There was a lovely vibe around the place. Newcastle at its best. Shame the Town Moor was baltic.

I was joking with my daughter about the cold. Saying can they make sure they win the FA cup next time so it's nearer summer when we celebrate.

Me and the bairn, whey she's 29, were under that big lamppost. Turned up about half 3 and was surprised at how easy it was to get roadside. Soon filled up. Was great to see families and people of all ages coming together. Such a feel good factor today. Walked alongside the bus and ended up on the moor. No ticket check. We were happy to see the players on the bus with the trophy so caught Sir Les talking then headed off. A few feeble attempts to check tickets at the point where we left. Looking forward to all the news coverage of it now. A good day and pleased we went.

The FA Cup quarter finals look great on paper. Hopefully every team will be going for it since there is no clear and obvious favourite. 3 very well matched ties, and at least Preston are at home - they also got a big win just before the intl break so shouldn't really have much relegation worries.

Any preference who goes through from an NUFC perspective, like if we were to play a Villa, Brighton, Palace a few days before, or after, a potential semi final, or offering more of a distraction to a particular team.

I guess if Forest or Man City won the cup then more chance a league spot opens for the Europa, should we finish 7th, than say if Fulham, Palace (or Preston) won it.

Had we not ended our trophy drought I'd probably settle for Man City winning the FA cup. Based on I would have hated to see some 'ordinary' club winning something while it eluded us. It's like Leicester when they won the league. Great story, but they're Leicester FFS. I was starting to think of that  mackem wife on STID, the "why's it never us celebrating" one. Now I'm happy for some underdog to win it. Having said that I don't like Villa, Forest and to a lesser extent Brighton, so I suppose that doesn't leave many.
