http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_3046003,00.html Former Newcastle United manager Kevin Keegan is not ruling himself 'in or out' of a return to the club he 'loves'. Keegan has emerged as a popular choice to replace Sam Allardyce at St James' Park after Harry Redknapp's decision to stay at Portsmouth. Reports have claimed that Keegan could form a managerial 'dream team' with Magpies legend Alan Shearer. When asked about any interest in a second stint as Newcastle boss by Sky Sports News, Keegan admitted he had not had time to think about the subject. However, he acknowledged his affection for the club and did not dismiss the possibility of another stab at the job. "I'm not ruling myself in or out, or anything," Keegan told Sky Sports News. "It's a club I love and that's all I'm prepared to say. Everybody knows that. It's a club I've managed before." Keegan's first spell as Newcastle manager started in February 1992 as he kept the team in the old Division Two before winning the title the following year. He led the club to third spot in their first campaign in the Premier League and blew a 12-point lead at the top in the 1995/96 season. After leaving the club in January 1997, Keegan had spells in charge of Fulham, England and Manchester City, which was his last managerial position almost three years ago.

-
a fucking hate thierry henry. dirty diving, moaning, arrogant cunt
-
id take the 3 points in barca and being able to field weakend teams against stuttgart and lyon
-
give owa man if they had tried to play barca at football they would have got murdered they played to their strengths and there is nowt wrong with that Ask any Rangers fan if they would have taken a point before the game and they would have snapped your hand off. At the same time it must be frustrating when all you can cheer for 90 minutes is the oppostion making a mistake. Wait till they play each other on a big open pitch like Camp Nou, they'll get mullered playing defensively or not. we just drew with arguable the best team in the world and have already bet the champions of france and germany so far playing defensively so am naw sure if we will get mullered in the camp nou if we play that way or not, i actually think we can get a win over there
-

I have a few questions on atmosphere: When did it go missing? What years do you think the noise was at its best at SJP? Why was the noise good then? The only way the so called lack of atmosphere will improve is if we see goals scored for our team, skillful players, attacking football, crunching tackles & the odd injustice always help raise the noise. Choir sections, standing area's is all bollocks really & is a ideology. The "prawn sarnie" crew how big is the pile at SJP? I am looking past the mackem connection & if you can see past the soundbite & give facts it would help me have a better understanding of your view point. do you not think the fans should be singing and supporting the team from the 1st whistle to the last without these things to encourage them? They probably should but I think it's unrealistic to expect that to happen. Every team has a few fans who will sing regardless of results/form/excitement but most other fans won't. If it was as simple as everybody just singing from start to finish then there would be a brilliant atmosphere at every football ground in the world but unfortunately it doesn't work like that. I think it's important to remember that top flight football is an entertainment industry and not all people go to the game to be fanatical. Sorry for going off topic btw. i see what you mean. its the main reason i prefer to goto away games than home games now. ibrox is only ever loud on champions league nights and old firm days
