  1. What on earth has happened to Arshavin over past year? Looks like a shadow of the player he was when he first joined the Arse.
  2. Completely missed the second half as dog had to go to vets. Was there a big difference in performance after the shite we served up in the first?

    Mohamed Salah

Well Pardew said earlier, that we would make 2 more signings a, so he seems like our striker. Jesus. Hope not. I reckon he's a replacement for either Ranger or Loven, should we manage to shift either. It no makey sense that we've apparently upped our bid for Maiga whilst trying to get this chap on loan for nothi......Actually, this makes perfect sense. Fuck off Ashley.
  4. Agreed. What I've been saying for ages. But I think one has only to look at Everton to appreciate that a successful football club doesn't necessarily translate into making it a more attractive proposition for buyers. Unless a club is bought by an Arab state or a Russian oligarch, for whom money is no object, the state of finances of a club is bound to have quite a sizeable bearing on proceedings, unfortunately for us. I truly and honestly cannot fathom what Ashley's plan for NUFC actually is. As far as I'm concerned the bloke runs the club on a day to day basis without any degree of foresight - as this LB situation is beginning to prove. What is clear, however, is that he's not 'in love' with the club/fans, etc. That went out of the window after the KK backlash. To him we're just an asset and as time passes it's clear that he's treating us as such, frustration as that may be for us fans.
  5. I do believe some £££s to the SBR Foundation were waged on Modric staying at Spurs (see Neil's sig). It's not on Neil's sig now but I'm putting up £100 to SBRF if Modric goes (though I'll probably do the same if he goes, it's a good cause). Whether Modric goes in this window is up in the air. At the time of the Chav's first bid Levy was unequivocal, Modric stays, we shift the deadwood and bring in the new bodies with that money and with what's in the transfer pot. The problem is the deadwood is near impossible to shift and Levy wants their wages off the books before the new bodies arrive. One option is to sell Modric, not because Levy's given in to Modric or Chelsea but because he wants books more balanced. Personally, I still think Modric will still be at Spurs come September but it's now nowhere near as clearcut as it was at the start of the window. Top bloke MJ, seriously. Fwiw I also make you right. Can't see Modric going either. What's the Spurs fans' opinion on lack of transfer dealings so far? With a striker and possibly another midfielder I'd like to think you'd be able to challenge Liverpool/Arsenal for the Champs League spot.

Why don't you tell me? I'm not naive enough to think any sort of protest or boycott is going to make any difference whatsoever. But if voicing my frustration in the form of a few chants makes me feel better I'm going to bloody well do it, irrespective of whether or not Ashley will be 'truffle-shuffling' in fear. You are aware i asked a question right? As in i was looking for an answer above the standard responses from fans who cant even give up buying his overpriced pisswater while singing about him. He is going nowhere as the money will continue to roll in while he chuckles at us for thinking a few songs will hurt him. Personally, I've refrained from buying anything other than my match ticket on a Saturday and have avoided Sports Direct like the plague. Unfortunately, I don't even think that a boycott of this nature, if universally adopted, would make a blind bit of difference. Ashley's in a good position here. charvas and bargain hunters will continue to shop at SportsDirect and 50,000, me included, will still turn up because we love the club and don't want to feel as though Ashley has taken that away from us.

If we don't bring a LB in, these cunts ought to be given hell. Absolute hell. There's absolutely NO excuse this time. There's no last minute £35 million bid for them to fall back on to try and justify no signing, and there are NO excuses for not having adequate replacements lined up. It's been obvious Jose was off from the start of the summer.
  10. Spurs wagecap is less than half of Adebayor's current wages. What do you think? No hope of him agreeing such a cut to leave perminently imo I've not a clue. Hence why I'm asking the Spurs fans on here. Does beg the question though, what do a lot of Man City rejects expect when they're inevitably replaced? There's no way that teams would even come close to matching City's wages. I suppose it will coax out the footballers from the mercenaries - those that want to play will take a cut in pay.
  11. Is Adebayor a permanent or a loan?

And Mackem boards are not the same? Fooking moron.

    Sunderland...

I agree. Between £9 and £11 million is fair imo.
  14. Yep. Once again this strikes me as more opportunism than carefully coordinated planning. Irrespective of whether or not he's a good player, I just think it's ridiculous that we could once again be facing a winter of Shola-Loven-and Best, who, whilst I think is decent, hasn't exactly got a perfect fitness record.
  15. £7million could have got us Shane Long, which would probably have been a safer bet.
  16. Joey doing his bset to make sure no other clubs go in for him then. Clearly wants to stay tbh.
  17. Beat me to it! Literally just about to post the same thing.
  18. Would love to think so mate, but I just can't see a Dutch international wanting to come here to sit on the bench.

By the sound of things it would be far better value for money to bid for Cissokho at £8m than it would to bid for this chap at £6m.

For those who have some knowledge of this chap, does £6mil sound a fair price?
  21. Irrespective of what's gone on over the past few weeks, I hope gets loads of support tomorrow. I think we'll really need his tenacity and ability this year. For me, him staying is also the difference between a poor and decent summer.
  22. Certainly will be giving their games a wide birth this year, bitter, bitter petty twat that I am. Fucking Liverpool cunts.
