It's an age thing for me. Gave my ST up when I was 18 and started uni. Money I'd get for birthdays and Christmas always went into the pot to pay for the ST, cup games and away games. I started uni and my money started going towards funding holidays and travelling instead. I still enjoy an away day whenever I can and I'll still do the odd home game with me dad for old time's sake but there's plenty of times I wish I hadn't bothered. I used to get proper fired up for derby games but now I'm just filled with dread. It really isn't what I remember growing up with. Since I gave up my ST at the end of the 06/07 season I think the only time I really remember the ground properly rocking was the 5-1 v the mackems. The last promotion season had its moments (Forest, Sheff Utd and Ipswich all at home) but it's been nowt compared to the SBR years - and even they seemed flat at times compared to when Keegan was here the first time.

Totally forgot about that then remembered the celebration with Obertan, Ba and Simpson Was apparently a skit of Obertan's dancing and the mackems over on RTG thought they were mocking the way Cattermole plods around the pitch Danny Simpson can fuck off for that night.

Haven't had a ST for about 10 years and when I gave it up, I was on about 10 points. I've bought various tickets as a member or on general sale since then. The only thing I'd perhaps change is that anyone like me who got a ST again could have points added for the tickets bought in that time (but not the ones they lost) added on.

This whole "we've got/lost the ball" chant shit teams have taken to doing. Cardiff did it against us the other week and now it sounds like Burnley are.

Just had a look - our longest winning streaks in the league last time we were down here were seven games, which we did twice. October 24 (2-1 vs Doncaster) to beating Coventry 2-0 on December 9. Also had the great run on the run-in, from March 23 (Donny away 1-0) to being crowned champions at Plymouth on April 19. We drew 12 games last time (three by November 21, 2009) and have only had the one so far. I'd definitely back us to set a new winning record.
